I contacted App Advice and was able to work with the developer in getting the issue fixed.
I found this app on App Advice. It was supposed to be ad-free if directions were followed. I followed said directions. It still opens with an ad. Please fix my account.

Still has ads!
I have purchased ad removal but I keep getting ads anyway. Fix this and then I’ll gladly give 5 stars. The game itself is pretty good. Stupid ads.
