If you’re here, it’s too late

This company makes bad products.

But if you’re here then there’s a good chance you already bought one of them and now want to download their app to make your device smart, which of course you paid $50 extra for.

You’re so luxurious.

Unfortunately what you’re about to experience is an app that is too glitchy for things to work properly. When you realize it and try to return it you’ll find they don’t think their broken $50 app qualifies for free return shipping. So you’ll see you need to ship your return to Lithuania.

FedEx will tell you they’ll ship it for $308.

Buyer beware

Tech support responds days after an inquiry. No free returns - have to return back to Europe on your own dime. App does not work. Thermometer does not pair even on 2.4 GHz channels. Support keeps suggesting the same fixes but you have to return within 30 days while you try and resolve over and over the same exact steps. I am going crazy….

If it worked it would be great

Wow that was an annoying experience. I can’t even speak to the quality of the actual features of the app because either app side or product side, pairing simply won’t work, therefore i have yet to see any functionality on the extra $40 out so i paid. Fix your gear Boldr.

This is crap. Do better

I’ve been in tech for over 30 years and spent 10 minutes trying to get your sensor paired correctly without success. I’m not investing any more time in your poorly designed app and product.

Hire people that know how to design IoT hardware and know how to write apps. Hire QA to test everything THOROUGHLY before shipping.

Also, I’m not 15 yards old and a moron. I don’t need cute videos to tell me how to do everything. Just give it to me in writing

I am returning your crap product and will be telling everyone I know to stay far far away.

What a waste

Easy to track

Easy to use and useful with today's rising fuel prices. Record option is very useful to show my landlord.

Works perfectly

Such a wonderful app. It's really interesting that they have this technology.

Nice App

Great little app to have to keep control our room temperature 🌡️

Good app

Absolutely great. I would have rated it 5 stars

Saving money = easy download

This app is a lifesaver seriously. The cost monitoring really helps me track my spending, utility prices have skyrocketed in my area… But now I’ve been able to keep track of the heating in my house while i’m at work all day.

Impossible to pair sensor or Device

Even on 2.4 ghz… returning this thing. Bye bye.

Hi Alex, I'm sorry you have experienced issues in pairing your devices. Please contact us at info@teamboldr.com and we will help you to be up and running ASAP. Thank you and we're sorry for the inconvenience.

app? sensor?

I wrote an earlier review saying that the app worked & not the sensor but then I started to think maybe the app isn’t working and the sensor isn’t able to communicate with it or the other way around so let’s just say both don’t work. I would not recommend this product. Boldr support doesn’t work either 😉

I liked the features. Thank you

Beautiful

Great app. I love it!

“Smart” Schedule doesn’t work. Not smart.

Got the FARA. Scheduled for the heater to turn on at 8:30 and turn off at 10:00. The heater kept running after 10, even though the default temperature was way below the temperature of the room at that point. The Schedule turned off at 10 and the heater remained permanently on at the scheduled temperature, not reverting to the default temperature. HOW is this company making money off these devices? I paid so much more for this Smart version that pairs to the app. You’d think they’d create something worth at least one 5-star review.

Former FOVI App & Solus+ heater

I wanted to add here: I also bought a Solus+ heater and used the FOVI app. The heater was ok, but the app and sensors barely worked.

Solus disappeared as a company, and the FOVI app stopped working. Now, I have a sheet of white glass on my bathroom and I paid about $800 for the honor.

This new Boldr app and accompanying Kelvin heaters are identical to the FOVI app and accompanying Solus+ M1/M2 heaters. (Run a quick web search on these names).

They could have made significant technical improvements, so that the app and heaters work. But this is clearly a company that went bankrupt / closed for business and did nothing to help its existing customers. Literally they vanished into thin air and the heater I bought doesn’t work now. My recommendation to you, is to find an alternative product that does the same thing.

And if it’s too late because you’re reading this review; try to return the heater and get your money back.

Good when it works

The app provides almost all the functionality that I was looking to find. Unfortunately, I’ve found it to be very unreliable and glitchy. Pairing devices is ridiculously frustrating. I use this for my detached office and really need dependability so that my equipment isn’t ruined. I wish I could return it, but it’s too late. I’ve now bought a different product.

Hi Paladin guy, We would be glad to help you get set up fully with the product. Running you devices on a 2.4Ghz bandwidth is crucial with smart home products - so it is important to set up the devices on there.

Poor app, weak heat

Setup through the app was extremely clunky and involved reactivating the temperature gauge randomly, which I did multiple times and only worked once. After successfully connecting, the heater (Kelvin) failed to produce enough heat to even maintain the temperature in the room I purchased it for. Customer service is basically nonexistent. I’m stuck with a $325 paperweight.

Cool Panels; Epically Bad App

Tl;dr - The combo of this app and Shelly H&T can kill the joy of a multi panel setup. So if you have an Ecobee do this: scrap the Shelly sensor, pair your panel to the app (this allows the panel to turn on when power is applied) and use a WEMO mini smart plug. Your Ecobee can easily be programmed to work with a WEMO through HomeKit.

I’ve spent (almost) $2k to add heating zones in my townhome. I want this to work. But after using Shelly controllers and the BOLDR software I have concluded that the heater panels are okay; but the controller or this software is completely, totally, absolutely unacceptable. 100% over the top bad. No redeeming qualities other than the tasteful minimalist graphics. It is almost okay if you have only one heater. I can usually get the system running after 3 attempts. But, within one week my sensor battery will be dead. Other than that (and the random false errors and failed network connections during setup) not to bad. But just ask for your money back if you have multiple sensors. Only one panel and sensor is suppose to be on, or connected, during pairing. So one turns off an already paired sensor how? I guess by removing the battery? If you do, the sensor will go offline and will not come back until I reset and repair, which means any other sensors need to go off network. (Which, again, seems to mean remove the battery and damaging the pairing. For HOURS. HOURS. Chasing this around a multi-floor home is maddening. Again, save these panels; get controllers and software from SOMEONE that actually checks out use cases before deployment.

Does no one care about quality control?

I’ve spent 45 mins trying to set up a “room” I’ve only managed to get the sensor to connect and not the heater. I’m going to give another 20 mins of effort before I just return it, sad considering it took over a week to arrive to the States. BEWARE NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION
