User reviews

Where is the choice?

When I read about this app, I thought: what a great idea. This could be the future of fundraising! Then I downloaded it and saw you are essentially forced into supporting certain charities based on your interests. Recommending charities is a great feature. FORCING you to go with certain charities defeats a big part of the app’s purpose (imagine if DoorDash locked you into 3 restaurants you get to order from because you said you like Mexican food). This also introduces some potential ethical issues (as far as, who is getting recommended and why).

Now, if you have the option to switch charities after you commit your monthly donation, that is great. But because I couldn’t do this out of the gate before committing money, it doesn’t matter.

I will update my review if and when this is changed because I do think this app is built on a great idea.
