Pretty cool

I like all the free features but the wiring needs to be re-tooled. There’s no cursor that shows where you’re wiring or what direction it’s gonna go in. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all. I like everything but that.

The game is limited and hard

It really does not make it easy and the controls are hard

Great idea but dont work

Every tume it grows branches from the base, impossible cutting everything all the time. I was trying moyogi but impossible. And there is no turning back after done the citting. Ive spent hours trying but im giving up

Many thanks for you feedback. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. As far as I understand - your tree tends growing from the thick trunk rather than from young thin branches. It is usually caused by thin branches hidden within thick trunk. Preventing them from growing algorythmically is a challenging task. And I decided to leave as is. The recipe here is to "delete" branches growing from trunk ("deleting" is a separate button) rather than "cut" them. Sometimes you will need to zoom within a thick branch and "delete" from there. Regarding cutting everything - there is a "pinch" button which makes possible to pinch the whole tree (or any part of tree). Did you try it ? Unfortunately, it was very difficult to implement turning back in this game. I decided to not include this in the interface. After all - you can not turn back after cutting a real tree :). It is strange that you had a problem with a simple moyogi. Did you see my tutorials on youtube ?

Absolutely Amazing!

Just what I've been searching for, the perfect creative bonsai experience

love it..

Very good bonsai simulator which can actually teach you the art. Like it so much it has inspired me to go out and buy a real bonsai and now I’m hoping to apply the technique i’ve learned with this app in real life. After trying all the other bonsai related apps, I would say this is the best one by far.

Thanks a lot. It is a pleasure to prune a real bonsai and see how its shape changes. I would mention that it is difficult to cultivate some species (pines, maples) in real life. And it is very important to keep the soil wet (I am watering twice a day if the weather is hot). Enjoy the app :)

Easy to use and looks amazing.

I would love to see an option to create Jin deadwood, and also to prevent new growth from the trunk without having to meticulously prune so many branches.

The growth habits, tree varieties, wood and leaf textures, and interface are all phenomenal and I applaud the developers.

Closest thing to the real deal

I have really enjoyed this app. It takes some effort to figure out the controls but once you get it, this app allows for complete creative freedom in designing bonsai. Aside from being a little glitchy sometimes this app has helped me in my real life bonsai practice by training my eye and allowing me to explore multiple possibilities on a virtual tree. The sky is the limit.

Somethings I would love to see in an update are:
Undo button
Ability to create deadwood (Jin and Shari)

Still an awesome app for a tech savvy bonsai enthusiast. Love love love

Great

I love this app. I was happy to see the tutorial videos and included trees. It’s relaxing and frustrating and I enjoy it very much. I only wish there were more trees to choose from.

Yes no hand holding but I like it 😄

Closest thing to real bonsai growing on the App Store.
There is one other I like but it has few features, mostly intended as promoting an actual garden.

Bonsai Master on the other hand requires thought yes...here I help...I figured this stuff out in a half hour and "finished" a nice tree without reading.

Quick tips if you need as you go hand holding:
(But first click the interface tutorial and read)

A)Leaf button turns on and off the "skeleton" of the tree which is useful for precise branch cutting

B)Water bucket grows your tree, yes if I understand, you can only grow one kind of tree for free

C)To get that tree you need to add new and may need to delete a prepared tree(you can freely trim all trees though)

D)To cut: Choose one of the trimmers, one deletes permanently, one trims but will grow again. Pinch in and out and scroll until you see red highlighting the branch you want to delete. Double tap to cut.

Ok enough help, remember Bonsai growing is a process.
Have fun, this is a great simulator.
