Unable to purchase

Great app but the worst support. I have sent many emails notifying that I’m not to purchase the paid version. Not a single response.

Any chance of CarPlay?

Love the app, but CarPlay won’t seem to save the player between drives, and restart, instead falling back to the last audio app, music, audible etc.
any chance of cleaning up the CarPlay experience?

Brilliant app

I love this app, Ive tried a few and this is by far the best. It’s so easy to use and has lots of useful customisable features. Best thing is the auto sleep timer. It makes it really easy just having to press one button when I want to play books at night to get back to sleep.

Would not recommend

The app was good but the went down hill fast. Even worse, the creator lashed out at me when I tried to ask for support. They were cranky that more people wouldn't buy and use their app... lashed out at me, one of the ones that did buy and did use. They demanded I give them more money to help make the changes but were hazy on when those changes would appear. Seems like it's become a scam.

Import from browser no longer works

This app hasn’t been updated for 4 years, and it looks like a recent iOS update, broke the functionality to import an audiobook using your computers web browser over the local Network.

The best audiobook app

Absolutely love this app, every function is sooo user orientated. Easy and fast transfer between the phone and PC. Love the automaticity inserting bookmark every time u hit the play button and I never need to cut the big file into small pieces in case I hit the wrong button and lose my position. Love the car player mode and could use the forward and backwards button on the wheel when u were distracted!

Please update...

I love the app and have gotten a ton of friends to buy and download as well. I know it’s been a while, and time / priorities change; just asking for a basic update to modernize the app please.

Gives me more options on finding where I was.

I have more options to find where I was and start listening again. It gives me more options to fast forward before or after if I’m trying to find a specific place again. It just has more ways to listen then Books.

I use it quite a bit.

It a good app for me to listen to downloaded mp3 files and other downloaded files. Loading the files is sometimes a bit of a struggle as Apple keeps changing iTunes, now Music and IOS.

Best Audio Book player for IPhone

Best alternative to iBooks I’ve found. Offers lots of functionality which iBooks does not provide. Looks a bit dated though.

Works pretty good

Works good for the text to speech audiobooks I make, it just has a major bug with Bluetooth headsets. After a few minutes of playing it won’t let the headset pause and the only way to fix it is either pause it from the phone or close and re-open the app.

Perfect for me

I have purchased maybe 5 apps, yeah, I'm that guy. I started listening to audiobooks a few years ago and wanted something that was simple. Well, this is the one that I bought. Being able to transfer files using a web browser is friggin amazing. But! I found that not only could I open files using BookMower from Drive or Dropbox but it would import them into an existing book or a new one. Blew my mind.

Great app but..

Would be better to just link directly to Dropbox or GoogleDrive etc, rather than importing.

I’m impressed!

I have a lot of mp3 audio on my PC. This gives me a way to load on my phone and play like a book or instead of like music. It does what I want.

Just ok...

I was looking for an App that would allow me to play Audible Audiobook flies at varying speeds. The default Audible app goes from 1x to 1.25x so I was looking for something with more options in between. Enter Book Mower...

Unfortunately, even though the app has a number of varying speeds programmed in, there’s a serious degrading of audio quality with anything selected other than 1x speed. It’s annoying enough that I’d prefer to use the default Audible App (or will look for another app that allows various playback speeds for Audible files).

A decent app. But not quite up to par for my needs.

Best audiobook player!

There isn’t a better program.

Terrible

This app is not easy to use, it can’t sort by track alphabetically, and is poorly designed. Audiobook players for iPhone are sorely lacking compared to android! I can’t understand why!

Constant use, some frustration

Great features, some bugs, the UI could use an update. I would also like it if there was more of a warning in the app about the playhead not getting updated if you import from iTunes.

Scam app

This app isn’t book mower as promoted but actually the book mobile app which is terrible. Avoid

Re: buggy, doesn’t work

I reviewed Bookmobile by these people as well. Same idea, almost identical - and has the exact same problems - plays random songs I’ve purchased from itunes when it claims to be playing audiobooks from my library.
