Useful but could be more user friendly
It has the standard Literary novels that most students need to read sometime throughout their education. It is basic but has good content when describing the chapters and summaries. It would be nice if the reader at the bottom would also be an audio feature, not just visual. So while the words are being scanned at the bottom a voice would be projecting out what is being read.

AWFUL UPDATE
This update is not organized at all and is a completely useless app now. It is now just summaries for a small amount of books, when before it gave ample amount of books, a search bar and detailed explanations of themes, characters, chapters etc. Please change!!!!! Deleting this app until change is made.

Bring back the actual spark notes! Since the updates, there isn't a wide selection of texts/novels. I paid money for this app! :(
Useless
That app has no use anymore with the update! Please fix
New update is awful
For whatever reason, the update for this app caused it to become far worse. There is now a marked decrease in book summaries, absolutely no Faulkner at all and no notes on Lord of the Flies, for example. There is no search feature and the presentation before the update was much better.

I bought this app not knowing you could find this online for free. But how the heck are you gonna make people pay for this when there's still ads??
What Happened
This WAS an amazing app with great design choices and lots of usefullness... But now.... its as if someone took one of those rip off web based apps with just links and replaced all of the coding in the app... please bring back the menus and search!
The old spark note version was way better
Literally I was starting to like this app then they changed the whole design and it doesn't even let you look up a book. Honestly if you want a good rating then turn it back to what it was instead of this trash.
Bring Back the Search Bar!
The update took away the most important thing, the search bar. I can no longer use the app to study and I would not have downloaded it if I had known it would become this. Please bring the search bar back!
Where is the search bar?!
After the update they took away the search bar and their are only specific books now. I want to look at summaries of books that are not on the list now. Put the search bar back and open up the other millions of books rather than just the few 100 or so books. 😡
What on Earth Have You Done?
To my surprise, I went to go look at my Sparknotes app today to have a quick study session, but instead book notes has replaced it. It might be nice, but I can not find anywhere to search for certain books that I need. This is awful. Go back to Sparknotes please.

The update killed the app. Constant App Store redirects and a God-awful user interface put more nails in the coffin than I care to list.

Don't waste money. Just use internet explorer for sparknotes it's better
Dollar Down the Drain
The only saving grace to this app is that it does have SparkNotes content. However, it makes your sign up for a "Spritzer" account and takes you through a lengthy process, and when you complete that, the speed reading function does not work at all. It crashes every time. I spent a dollar on a broken tool. Do not buy.

Horrible
Basically a shortcut to the mobile sparknotes website so internet access is needed. Also spritz crashes every time I try to use it after logging in.

terrible waist of a $1. It doesn't work very well and I can't find anything. trust me reading the book is easier than this.
