Heating issue

The app is great, but the tts makes my iPhone heat up like crazy. I hope that future updates will solve this problem.

Response from developer

Hey BarracudaFickle, You are using the free Local TTS voices. Local TTS voices download the model directly to your phone and processes generating the audio for your book on your phone. Local models will work best for mostly the higher end devices. We suggest you use the Advanced voices that are streamed to your device with realistic and high quality(requires the Advanced plan and above). Alternatively you can use the TTS voices provided by Apple which are not ideal in quality but will also not result in your device getting hot.

Best reading app

I’ve been using this app for years on my devices. It has every QoL features I need, such as auto scrolling, tts at ridiculous speeds and ridiculous horizontal margins (which I use for reading faster on my ipad without having to move my eyes across the screen).

It also has some new TTS voices that work locally and sound amazing.

My only gripe is I need to import my files inside BookFusion instead of keeping them in a folder, such as iCloud or Obsidian. But, no other app has done this well yet (some such as Documents allow this, but the reader is awful and crashes on large books).

Great service

I love BookFusion. The devs are very responsive in their discord and subreddit as well.

And you can’t beat the price!

This is an amazing app for those who want to read books across different platforms and keep the highlights synced. The best part is the Obsidian plug-in, which imports all of your highlights in a neat fashion and is fully customizable. Wait, I lied. The best part is the monthly subscription price. They’ve made it extremely affordable for people to use unlike those other ridiculous apps that you see a $10 monthly subscription. At 1.99 a month it’s excellent.

Love it until...

I discovered only 10 books...back to looking for another reader.
But I have to say, it’s really very well done.

One of the best study apps on the market

This is one of the best apps I’ve used for organizing my digital textbooks for study. If you need an app to organize your digital textbooks and read them from any device, this is that app. The website and app integration is seamless. It’s totally free to use, and I don’t need to have a subscription, but I chose to just because I love the developers of this app so much. It makes studying the most convenient thing from anywhere. The interface is clean and simple and the features synergize nicely.

worth it

if ure looking for an app u can use to have a shared library between ios and windows (what i was desperately looking for lol) this is it.

the library and bookshelf functionality is intuitive and seamless in terms of organizing ur stuff.

the reader is solid and nice to use, i like the warm, paper-ish theme the best for appearance

i have nothing negative to say which is rare for me, well worth the premium sub

good for grinding books

autoscrolling is a goated feature

Best book reader available

I was a long time user of Marvin app, but after it was shut down it took a long time to find a good replacement. Apple’s books app is okay but doesn’t have enough options to customise. When I found this app it was perfect, I can change the fonts sync my books between my iPhone and iPad, it just does exactly what I want it to do. Five stars.

Great app

I was looking for a replacement for Marvin as the recent iOS update broke it. This one is almost perfect, and I’d have given 4.5 stars were I able. I have a weak right hand and wanted to be able to swap left and right side tap to advance the page. I also really wanted an app that has autoscroll, that’s my favorite way to read now. BookFusion lets me do these, and autoscroll doesn’t stop at chapter breaks, which I love. It would be the perfect app for me if it had Dropbox integration. I know it’s just a few clicks to open Dropbox and download my files, but I’m lazy.

Thank you for a great reading experience!

Easy to use reading app

One of the easiest and simple apps with numerous functions and integration. Love how after highlighting you can review all your highlights, comments and has the function to import to obsidian as well, absolutely love this functionality.
Only recommendation would be to annotate the book using Apple Pencil, with this feature, this app could just be a top book reading apps.

Lovely

It’s an excellent app, you will get everything you need, highlighting, concise notes of the highlights and update across all device and systems. Visual options are also great. I am loving it.

Perfeito

Melhor aplicativo de leitura. Funciona perfeitamente no iOS, Android e pc, com sincronização do progresso.

There is no TTS but it was promised

I downloaded to test TTS implementation (Apple Books works very bad last 3 years) but couldn't find a way to run it. It's simply not exist or hidden too deep.
UPD 28.01.2026: thanks for replying, I've found it!
Unfortunately available TTS models are from like a decade ago - there is no even Siri TTS model :(
Can I use a model from Google / ElevenLabs / Microsoft or a custom local model I trained myself?

TTS is present and used by many readers. You can enable it by doing the following: 1. Open the book you want to read 2. Click on A at the top right 3. Go to the Advanced Tab 4. Select Audio, enable it and select your voice

Hands Down the BEST EBook Reader App

I was looking for an option that synced all my books between Calibre, Web, IOS and Android; and Book Fusion hits it on the nail. I have raved about this app to all my bookworm friends. Worth every penny and I can’t wait to see their future updates and integration.

So close!

This has everything I need, except decent translation. Apple translate is miserably bad. (Why is it so bad?!) If I could opt for Google translate instead, or really anything else, this app would be perfect for what I want to do. I love that you can bulk download highlights as a .csv. Everything else about this app seems great.

Absolutely top tier

Outstandingly good. Spiffing

TTS Support is a Joke

The app itself is a decent ebook reader for epubs. PDF support is horrendous. If you are looking for text to speech, look elsewhere. The implementation here is a joke. All English voices are robotic or sound like muppets with masks on. There are some voices that are, frankly, insulting to anyone wanting this option or needing accessibility. The ‘Jester’ voice basically just laughs in between reading words and the ‘Good News’ voice is reading to the tune of the commencement march. Who thought that these would be options that anyone would want?

Great ebook reader

The ebook reader seems very well thought out and most importantly, it is way more usable offline as compared to Apple’s books.

Overall great but have few issues.

My major problem is that why it doesn’t have full books page number rather than book percentage. We should have the option to change it. The chapter wise percentage system is good, but sometimes I want to know how much pages left. Kindly fix it.
