Great app

Buggy, slow

Since I have owned this app, it has been riddled with problems. It can take forever to scroll items if you can get it to open. As of this latest update, the app bounces in my dock for a period and essentially freezes. Frustrating for a $25 app.

Version 2.0.2 turned out to be unstable on some systems, and the issues you’re describing match problems we identified after release. Hangs and crashes

Double capture never quite worked right, then app started hanging and crashing. Unusable for now.

I'm sorry this has happened with the version 1.3.1. Please rest assured with the latest version we are faster and more stable than ever. Also, we added some capture settings so you can control exactly how double capture works, in which apps (with a ignored app list), and the spacing time between two copies so it ignores app's built-in clipboard copies. Please check it out from the Settings -> Capture view. Please try again and let us know if things are still slow for you.

Simplicity is king

When dealing with so many different articles and sources with the never ending bombardment of information I get lost a lot and can’t remember where I saved something or where in my browser history something was. This simple and sleek app fixes those issues for me. With the easiest shortcut ever it collects everything in place and has good metadata search so I can search for more than just the title to find what I am looking for. The developer is active on discord and always open to feedback which is nice when certain feature need a bit more polishing. 10/10 recommend.

How to tag or delete in bulk?

I like the app so far. Is there a way to group-select cards for tagging, deleting, etc? Long before installing this app, I habitually double-tapped CMD-C to ensure the clipboard was updated before pasting. Then I forgot DoubleMemory was running and it’s now full of stuff I didn’t intend to keep. I can delete them one at a time but its too tedious. I don’t see a way to group-select (or select all) for deletion.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll be sure to prioritize the multi select feature. Better tags is coming with next version if everything goes according to the plan… you will be able to drag and drop tags to organize things better, but it won’t support multiple items, and then with the next version of macOS we will start working on multiselect… btw you can disable double cmd c by right click the menu bar icon as well if it captures too much.

Small effort, huge returns

As a writer, I am constantly researching and reading articles and papers aligned with my work. This app makes it so easy to make a read-it-later stack where I can throw things, particularly if I do not have time to read it all or I want to read a bunch of different things later. Also, I need to mention that the responsiveness and care for users shown by the developer, Shao, is second to none. A lovely, friendly guy that wants all of us to get the most out of his app.

Good idea, doesn’t work

I love the app idea, not nearly ready for production. Bugs all over the place.

Saving an item does not work every time. The only way to fix this is to reinstall. Defeating the purpose of the app, and I'm constantly having to double check if it's working.

Searching also is very poor, missing exact terms.

Hoping for improvements.

Good concept needs some basic improvements

There is no confirmation or message informing you that the stuff was copied over to DoubleMemory. Even just a message the first time letting you know you did it right would be great. Also there is no way to see the things you have saved unless you perform the search shortcut. It would be better if the search/inventory window displayed with pressing the dock or menu bar icon.

Hello! For confirmation feedback, whenever there is a capture, the menubar icon will spin around as well as a sound will be played in the background. Are you thinking about other confirmations we can add in the future? Please share! Are you not seeing your captured items from the search dashboard? Low friction saving for later

Great for quick saving across devices for those things that don’t quite fit as bookmarks. Really appreciate that it doesn’t need an account, syncs over iCloud seamlessly, and doesn’t track anything
