Cannot download books

I cannot seem to download any books. I believe it’s cause of my iPhone version (16 instead of iPhone 5 as reccomended) but who has iPhone 5 now? The app itself looks amazing

App Never Works

I used the app many years ago and it worked well. Recently I tried to return and even paid to unlock audiobooks. Unfortunately, the books disappeared from my library and the app glitches when I try to download any new books.
