Not a good club space

This isn’t a place to create a club and have a dedicated club page, you can start discussions on each book and share with people you know or who are on the app. Also, buggy af.

Hi, Our ui model is centered on individual books and Readings, more so than just a "club", but if you create a Group, there is a dedicated group chat that is independent of any book. Look for the chat bubbles at the top right of the main page. But we understand that might not be what you are looking for. Love it

We’ve been using this app for our book club for a few years now and we love it! It works well across all platforms, gives alerts, lets us chat without having to exchange numbers, etc. There has only been one or two times that it hasn’t had the book we were reading but it wasn’t surprising since they were pretty obscure titles. Just get it! You won’t regret it!

Perfect for book clubs

Our friends have scattered far and wide but we still like to have Bookclub once a month. Bookship makes that so very easy. A great app that can be used on a desktop, iPad or mobile phone. It has so many aspects to it and has become a great part of our club. Highly recommend.

So glitchy I can’t even use the app

When I open the settings of a book, all my taps are displaced like three centimetres to the right. I literally cannot interact with the settings properly. I tried highlighting some text and the options lagged a full second after I released my finger. Another time, the app suddenly highlighted an extra page for me. ???? How is this app allowed to be released in this condition??

A Wonderful Book Club App

Was looking for an app to have a “book club” with a few long distance friends. I tried a few different ones, but most were set up for in-person meetings, and I just wanted to discuss books long distance and have our chats separated by book. This app has been the perfect thing. It started out as a good structured way to recommend and talk about books with a few pals, but over the past year of using it it’s had tons of improvements and now offers supplemental readings about the books, has a nicer format, lets you invite people to read in different ways, and is really nice aesthetically.
It is simple and easy to use, and fulfills the exact purpose I needed it for... sharing books I love with friends, and getting to hear what they think.

Can't import your own epubs

The concept is great, but the app is of no use to me unless I can import my own epubs and then share them with friends. Provide this functionality and I'll return with a much better review.

We've been interested to allow user upload of ePubs but need to respect author copyright, as well as have some way to map the uploads to our current books database. Perfect for Reading with Friends or a Book Group

BookShip is a natural way to share reading of any text. All the tools are there to communicate: photos, hyperlinks, excerpts and, of course, text. I’ve used it to read with large groups, small groups, long and difficult texts and shorter recreational reads. It makes group readings more fun and insightful.
