Cannot even log in, even tried to change my password. Tried to use Facebook and Google and both said they were not able to be used.

Sick joke

Some kinda sick joke theres no book mark option? Clicking chapters in the index doesn't bring u directly to the page, I have to scroll and guess where to start reading? Come on

An improvement over mymustreads

The app mostly works as expected, but sometimes gets stuck on a white loading screen when it is pulled back to the foreground. Killing it and reopening resolves that issue.
An annotation feature would be nice.

I have great news, though: Booksio supports annotations! When reading an ebook, press and drag to select some text, then choose "Highlight" from the context menu. That text will highlight for you, and prompt for any notes you'd like to leave. Your highlights and notes will sync to every device you use for Booksio. Enjoy!

Not functional

I can’t even open any books. When I try to, the loading screen never goes anywhere. I miss MyMustReads

Booksio App - Improving all the time.

I have used the Booksio reading app since it first went live. The team has continued to make improvements. Books are not available in digital or audio format unless you purchase them in the store. There are some very cool features - even a font for people with dyslexia. Booksio gives 10% of every purchase to charity and as a small company, that is wonderful.

Constantly crashing, freezing, and losing place

Echoing another review, I have no idea how this app could have anything higher than a three star rating. Constantly freezes, never remembers the page where I left off. eReading app that doesn’t perform basic functions.

Never able to find books

Everyone seems really happy with this app and I’m confused. I hate buying books for Kindle and I liked MyMustReads because I could buy from independent shops so the charitable aspect of this app/site is really enticing. However, I’m never able to find any of the books I want to buy on the website. Not one of them. I would also like to be able to browse books without having to go to the website.
I’m sad that I have so many books stuck on here from MyMustReads. Is there a way to transfer these books to another app?

How can this app have this rating?

Booksio fails for me in almost every way—it forgets my place in my book—repeatedly. It crashes when I highlight or share something—repeatedly. It randomly logs me out and forces me to download my book again—repeatedly. It seems to be rife with bugs like page numbers disappearing and random repaginations. If the book I bought were available electronically literally anywhere else, I would delete this app and never look back. I’m considering buying a paper copy to finish it, because this app is such a hot mess. I take no pleasure in saying it, but I really can’t understand how it can have any positive reviews—this does not compare to even the worst of the many other ebook apps I’ve used. It’s basically unusable.

Worth noting that I was shunted to this app after the service I actually bought the book from apparently went under.

What is so wrong with plain old epubs?

The ultimate sales machine

I am Just starting this book ….I like the functionality of this app. I was able to increase the font and choose what type of style and background I would like to read with. The download was super quick and the app remembers where I left off. Looking forward to reading more with this user friendly app !

Intuitive, useful

The app is easy to use and makes it easy for me to read my favorite titles!
So many apps over complicate things with bells and whistles. This app is straight forward, and it works towards a great cause!

Delivers on what it promises

As an avid reader, I have high standards in the platform I’m using - this app delivers and does exactly what I want it to. I can browse countless titles online and then read directly on the app, no matter where I am. It’s easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing. I haven’t had any glitching or technical issues and the fact that it provides an opportunity to give back to charitable causes I support is just an added bonus. I would recommend to anyone looking for an ebook or audio reader.

Unusable

It won’t reopen books to where I left off. There is no bookmarking or search function to find where I was, so I have to flip through the book every time I reopen it to find where I was. This is basic functionality for a reading app to let you pick up where stopped reading. I can’t believe I am being held hostage to this terrible app because I purchased my books on My Must Reads, and now they tell me I have no other options for accessing my books but Booksio.

Unusable disaster of an app

Unusable. This app replaces their legacy app, MyMustReads, which was a disaster. This is no better. Change the font size, lose your place in the book. Change the theme, lose your place in the book.

Highlight something? Lose your place in the book AND LOSE THE ABILITY TO TURN THE PAGE. I’m stuck staring at the title page, full stop.

I used to buy books to support my local indie bookstore, but now that’s gone too. I give up. It’s a shame I have any books hidden behind the Booksio app’s painful gates.

Converted forever!!!!!!!

I thought I’d give this app a shot since I’ve been having some issues with my current e-reader. PLUS I heard that Booksio is mission focused so I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it out. Let me tell you… now that I made the switch I am never going back!! This is a super easy/accessible app to use. But for me the best part is the charity element- I love that I can now read to support a cause. Can’t wait to tell everyone about this app!!

Simple and easy!

I’m happy to have a easy to use digital reader experience that is also gorgeous to look at. Everything works the way it’s supposed to and I hope they continue to bring out more features. Minor glitches when I first downloaded it but those seem to have gone away now so overall two thumbs up for this app.

Great app and easy to use

I’ve used the app for both audiobook and ebook, and the interface works well! Buy on the website and the item shows up on the app, ready to go. Plus, it feels good knowing every purchase I make goes to helping a worthy organization.
