About

Boop Book is a private journal for the best animal you know. One photo a day. That's the whole idea. Each day gets exactly one photo, on an instant photo, with the caption written on in your own handwriting. The limit is the point. A year later you have 365 pictures worth looking at instead of four thousand you'll never scroll. AROUND THE DAILY PHOTO • Notes, milestones, and places with the weather baked in • Songs, videos, and voice notes. The bark, the purr, the chirp, the noise they make when the treat bag opens • Milestone suggestions that match your pet: "First walk" for a dog, "First shed" for a snake, "First word" for a bird MORE THAN ONE PET Every pet gets their own profile and their own photo-a-day. Tag a memory to one of them or all of them. Species is a text field, so nobody's axolotl has to be "Other". BIRTHDAYS OPTIONAL Plenty of rescues arrive with no known birthday. Give them a gotcha day instead and Boop Book counts from there, "2 years together". Give it neither, and it quietly stops asking. THE HEALTH SIDE Vaccinations, medications, allergies, conditions and vet visits, kept in one place, with renewals that remind you before they lapse. Microchip and insurance numbers, your vet's details, and the care notes you leave for a sitter. And an Emergency Card you can share or print. Allergies first, and the vet's number is one tap to call. Everything you type into it is end-to-end encrypted, like the rest of the journal. THE FRIDGE You keep the journal. The Fridge is the part you share: pick which memories go up, and everyone else sees only those. They can heart them back; they can't see the rest, because the rest never reaches their phone. Send a link. No account to make and nothing to sign up for. You can follow other people's Fridges from inside your own journal too. LOOKING BACK This day last year. Month recaps that play as little films with the month's song underneath. Then & Now, day one and today, side by side. A streak counter, a coverage heatmap, and search that actually finds things. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE There is no Boop Book account, because there is no Boop Book server. Your journal lives in your own iCloud and is shared through Apple's own sharing. Captions and notes are end-to-end encrypted. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no third-party SDKs. Export everything whenever you like: one zip of real files plus a readable memories.json. FREE, AND PLUS The whole journal is free: daily photo, every memory kind, multiple pets, sharing, the Fridge, the growth log, health records, the widgets, the daily look-back memories, and export. Plus adds the keepsakes: Memory Lane, Year Book, Year in Review, Then & Now, and the instant-photo themes. And when the time comes, a pet can be marked as a memorial. The app stops asking for today's photo, and their age stops where their life did. View the End User License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
