Voucher disappears
This is the second time one of my vouchers disappear. It happens when i have two free coffees. It remains two vouchers for a while and then eventually one disappears.

Shame the poor waiters (who are amazing) have to deal with grumpy customers due to an app that was designed soo badly. I just tell them it’s not their fault someone at HQ got a deal for one of their buddies at an app company.

Impressive app
Glad I downloaded the app, thanks to the recommendation of my friendly waitress Paige over at my local Bootleggers. Lots of promotional offers and vouchers up for grabs! ☕️✨
Staff attentiveness
The staff are always attentive to my needs and generally go beyond their duties to ensure costumer satisfaction.
Unable to recover locked account
I have followed instructions more than ten times to unlock my account but it won’t work. There is no app support available at all. Zero stars

Terrible Service
We waited half an hour for our coffee order. Waiter who took our order just dissapeared. Could only put in food order after repeatedly asking for a waiter to serve us. Please go to Bootleggers in Cape Town and Stellenbosch and see what customer service is supposed to look like! Will not be back - many other restaurants in the area to choose from.

Miss
Don’t download this app, I sent my husband a R50 gift voucher as a test and he received his almost immediately. I sent another gift voucher of R400 to my mother in law on the 24 December 2023 and up till today the voucher does not appear on her app. Sent more than one email to their head office I have still not received feedback. I visited one of the restaurants and the store manager said that they would escalate the case. This app is not compatible with all mobile numbers, wish I had none before buying the voucher.

False Hope!
I was thrilled when I heard that Bootlegger now had an app. My joy was short-lived recently as I have never received any of my free coffees. My first free one ‘disappeared’ when I wanted to use it & again when my ‘voucher’ never appeared after my 10 coffees. Based on the reviews, I see this is a regular occurrence. Are you planning on resolving this or are you just using this app to secure our loyalty???

If your credit card details need to be updated,or you want to load a new card; you’re going to have trouble.At least I am experiencing the hassle of a dysfunctional App.
Token scanning
The scanning of the slip almost never works. Isn’t that the entire purpose of the app? I love bootleggers but this makes me sad.
QR payment doesn’t allow tip
Irritating as I tried to add a large one (for Tristan) but the payment went through just for the original amount!
