No Apple Device Files upload support
I am coming from BookPlayer that allows me to upload my mp3 audio books from my PC. A deal breaker for me is not being able to use a USB-C cable to upload mp3 Audiobooks. If I can upload with wire then I will definitely change my review to a 4 or 5.

No folders
I haven’t been able to find a good ios player so I thought I’d try this one. I paid, imported my books, went to sort them,then to my surprise, no way to group certain books into forlder or playlists or whatever!! It feels like I got scammed. There’s also no widget for some reason??
App bricks itself and has to be reinstalled
I’ve been using this app for about 15 months. Every few months the app crashes into an unrecoverable state where I can open it but when any of the audiobooks are selected the app instantly crashes and closes. The only way to fix this is to uninstall it entirely, reinstall it, and then re-download the books.

Great but missing some basics
This is a great app with the Web Uploader feature being a real stand out feature to load books. It is only let down by a lack of Shortcuts and Siri integration. It will be more apparent with iOS27 if the connectors haven’t been enabled to allow hands free play and commands. This is available in the free competitors so is a disappointing exclusion as I’m used to be able to say “Siri play my audiobook”. Hopefully this app gets an update for the new iOS and will enable these features given it is listed as “Siri enabled” and yet all you can do is get it to open the app, nothing else.
Other than that is a great app with a couple of UI rough edges but overall good.

Bound decided to delete every book in my files
And its not in my recently deleted. Nowhere to be seen. Unbelievable. I want a refund. If you care about your data, do not trust these devs

By far the absolute best app I’ve ever purchased. I’ve never once regretted the small cost of the app for how convenient it’s been to listen to my collection of audiobooks on CarPlay!

Great app, my only issue is you can’t make folders for long series and no grid view. If these features were added it’d be an easy 5 stars
My fav audiobook app
Love using the app although I wish there was some quality of life improvements. 1. A watch app to control the app. 2. Force focus of the audio over other apps, it’s annoying that Reddit will pause other apps even if you have sound muted in Reddit, Audible is able to keep playing while scrolling Reddit. 3. I wish Bound was remembered more when I hit play awhile after playing, I realize if I open another app and play a video or something the phone doesn’t know to play Bound again but if it’s just a matter of time idle it should start back up. 4. I wish there was a widget or something I could access and control the app on my home screen.

Seems like a good app except it is difficult to do what I figured would be easy and is vital for my usage. When I added dozens of audiobook files (some files are chapters, some whole books) it auto separated into different books. I wanted them all as one playlist or “audiobook”. I figured out how to move a file from one to another but doing that individually for each file is time consuming. A multi-select/select-all feature would be great for that and/or the ability to specify adding all imported files to a specific book and not use the auto organizing feature. More flexibility and efficiency in manual organization and custom collections/playlists is needed.

Why does this app always forget what book I was listening to?
Books Gone
I added about 10 books to test the space and interface of the app. It worked really well and uploading was easy.
The reason for the 1 star is exited out of the app and reopened it…books were gone. It was a complete waste of $4.99.

I got my chapters back!!!
I thought my chapters were gone forever with the native books app but with Bound I got them back!!!
Loses everything if your battery dies
Whilst it lacks bells & whistles (eg, you can’t group by book series), I liked Bound for the ease of upload (I did via my laptop & wifi).
Unfortunately if the battery on my iPhone dies while I’m listening to an audiobook, Bound loses EVERYTHING. When I charge my iPhone and open Bound, everything is gone and irrecoverable. This has happened 3 times over the past week. I reported it to the developer but for now I need to find a new alternative. If I get a response that it has been fixed I may return, provided the alternative hasn’t won me over.

Does not sync with Google Drive
Top review says it doesn’t link with Google Drive, but it doesn’t anymore. They try to do a workaround, but the workaround still didn’t work and I ended up doing the same process for working on the free version of a similar app. So I paid the five dollars to find out I didn’t do what I wanted or needed it to do. They also do not take refunds so save your money and just go for the free competitors. Because this is a waste of money.

Chapters
If you import your own books into this, pray that this app will recognize the chapters directly encoded in its metadata. Most of the time it will not.
Please add search!
This is literally the perfect audiobook app, simple and just does what it’s supposed to. But it’s missing one feature: search! Seems pretty basic, but it’s missing! Please add it. I have like 50 books loaded up and it’s nigh impossible to find what I’m looking for without search.
