You already have a library. A folder of CBZ files. A self-hosted Komga server on your NAS. A shelf of scanned PDFs and text files you've been meaning to organize. Boundless Reader is a manga, manhwa, comic, and novel reader built for that library, on one simple idea: your reading is nobody's business but yours. There's no server of Boundless's own behind your library, and no account required to use it. Sync by email and password or iCloud if you want your library on more than one device; skip it and everything just stays on this one. HOW YOUR LIBRARY GETS IN Import your own CBZ comic archives, PDFs, and plain text or Markdown files straight from the Files app or any share sheet. Browse a source through the bundled JS extension system, which ships with one working demo pointed at Komga's official public demo server, a starting point for connecting sources, not a catalog of content. Or connect your own self-hosted Komga server, or any Komga-compatible library, directly, with per-host authentication headers so private setups just work. Boundless Reader doesn't host, sell, or supply any comics, manga, or novels of its own. It's a reader for what you already have. ONE CONTINUOUS STREAM, NOT A STACK OF FILES Chapter breaks are a filing convention, not a reading experience. Boundless reads webtoon (vertical long-strip), paged, and vertical-paged content as one continuous, cross-chapter stream. Turn a page or scroll past a chapter boundary and the next chapter simply loads, in either direction, with a configurable prefetch depth so it's ready before you get there. A READING EXPERIENCE WORTH THE PRIVACY Customize nearly everything. Font family: System, Serif, Rounded, Monospaced, or a dedicated Dyslexia-Friendly face with wider tracking, taller lines, and a live preview as you pick. Font size, line spacing, paragraph spacing, and margins. Auto-scroll at your own pace, your own tap zones, and a scroll/tap cooldown so a scroll never gets misread as a page turn. Page backgrounds from paper, white, and sepia to dark and black for text, and black, dim, or white for images. Nine accent color themes, including a true flat-black Void theme built for AMOLED screens, layer independently over ten animated gradient background washes: Aurora, Midnight, Sunset, Wildfire, Rose Quartz, Emerald, Lavender, Void, Brand Wash, and Standard. Add light, dark, and AMOLED-optimized display modes, plus a choice of home screen icons. YOUR LIBRARY, KEPT IN ORDER A personal library with automatic update checks on a schedule you set. History grouped the way you'd actually look for it: Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month, then by month. Download chapters for offline reading, with auto-delete-after-reading and storage you can see and manage. Full backup and restore of your library, history, and reading progress as one portable export, whether you're moving to a new device or just want peace of mind.
