It’s so close to being amazing
3.5 stars. It was super fun to play the puzzles. Unfortunately there were only 20 of them and I did them all in an hour so now all I have left is competitive modes, which don’t interest me at all.
Second issue is that the game can only be played in portrait mode. Since my iPad has an external keyboard, this means I have to uncouple it and hold it without a cover while I play. I can’t see any reason why there couldn’t be a landscape mode.
Last issue is the “repeating patterns”. I play patterns sometimes that I think are obvious repeating and the game says they’re not. Example: 4 tiles, all the same number, alternating colors, but all different flowers. Legal patterns can only be very simplistic. Playing this game involves seeing patterns but also limiting yourself to how complex the patterns are, so it’s a bit jarring to my brain.
I enjoyed playing it despite the issues, but the very limited number of puzzles is the reason I start up the app and then remember that there’s nothing to actually do with it.

Terrible game
This game should really stop comparing itself to the popular card game Set. Set has a very clear set of parameters for forming sets: u make sets of 3 in which all three either all match or all differ across 4 different features---color, number, shape and shading. Set is crystal clear on this. Compared to Set, this game is a mess. It has the same all-match-or-all-differ rule, but each shape seems to only have a single shading style(?) - some hollow, some solid, some hollow with a middle dot. Sets can be 3, or maybe 4 or maybe 5, but there aren't enough variations to make a set of more than 3. It talks about 'repeating patterns' but does a terrible job of explaining how. Then when it's your turn and you're making sets, there's no way to signal that you're done. And don't even get me started on the part in the tutorial where it says 'on your turn you can move as many tiles around the board as u like' or something like that. And on top of all this, the design is not very good. The font size in the tutorial is too small, as is the size of the tiles in your hand - I had to practically hold my phone up to my nose to see what tiles I had!

The Puzzle game I’ve been waiting for
This game was a little tricky at first to figure out. Now that I’ve got it down, the trickiest parts are what makes it so fun! I love a game that challenges you to think differently and learn new ways of looking at things. Great for promoting nueroplasticity! I play everyday and really enjoy trying to get a low score on the daily. I love the variety of colors you can choose and like the pink, orange, blue black colors best for being able to differentiate better when zoomed out. Great game! Haven’t tired on it one bit!

Play this game every morning now 🙏🙏
can’t get enough
if you like pattern-based games like set & rummikub, or a daily challenge a la wordle, this game is gonna rock your world. my various groupchats are (joyfully!) dominated by competition over the daily challenge. really loved the premade puzzles for getting a hang of the rules. can’t wait to get my hands on the physical tabletop version!
