App not connecting with iPhone anymore

Since it is almost impossible to diagnose whether it is a hardware issue or software issue I assumed that the app started to have problems with connecting and synchronizing with the M5 trainer. It’s very frustrating and there is almost no support (Facebook, emails doesn’t work). I think this app is not being maintained anymore since the newer trainer use the new JRNY app?

Not properly synching with Apple Health when using watch.

This app was fine until I got an Apple Watch. Now I want my workouts to sync and not duplicate/overlap. Other apps handle this just fine. It seems the time that the app records for the workout is out of sync with the phone/watch. So Apple Heath thinks it’s a different workout than the one the watch recorded. Pretty annoying. I don’t see any way to fix the time issue. You can see in Apple Health that the Max Trainer app is recording the wrong time not the watch.

Useless app

Bowflex Max Trainer app is worthless garbage. To be fair, the M5 machine is great and highly effective. But the app is a waste of time. My first workout said I burned 2 calories, second day I burned 5633. Yes, over five thousand calories in a 14 minute session. Now it doesn’t sync at all. I’m uninstalling and keeping track in a different app.

Apple Health Integration Broken

I have no issues with the app connecting to the device via Bluetooth, however it seems impossible to add the app as a data source to apple health.

Worthless. No support help.

I’ve had my bowflex M6 for over a week now and it won’t connect or sync to the app. I’ve emailed customer service twice with no response.

Tracks Workouts!

I love this app. It’s simple and easy. No subscription or proprietary programs. Simply tracks workouts AND connects the data to other apps like Apple Health and Fitness. Super useful. I hope Bowflex keeps it updated!!

Please update the app. Thank you.

Looks terrible on iPhone mini 12.

We pay and get 0 support

I’m constantly slapping myself for purchasing the M7. Why pay a thousand plus dollars for equipment that the company does not continue to support? Stupid, Stupid, stupid...I don’t blame the company I blame me for thinking, no assuming this would have lasted more than a few gens of an iPhone. But, make no mistake I for one will NEVER 👎🏽 make a purchase with Bowflex again!

Sad app all around

Welcome to 2021 bowflex. When your app should fit correctly in the screen for phones with a notch since they’ve existed for years. Fitness Apps should properly sync with phones and watches so they reflect workouts. No updates in 2 years? What an awful experience for users. Be better.

Don’t work with Apple Health

The app doesn’t work with Apple Health, I’ve tried following the steps they have listed and their app doesn’t show up as requesting access to data. Don’t bother with the app, it’s worthless.

What the Eff, Bowflex?

I’ve been writing software since the 1980’s and this is just sad. For what I paid for a Max, which is essentially just another stair climber, I would expect that their software on the unit and their app to be better. I am stunned and disappointed, to say the least.

Upgrade Required

I have the Max Trainer 6, but noticed all the apps available are for the M5 and M7.

Additionally, I’ve been on hold w/Tech Support for the last hour and ten mins hoping to speak w/someone to resolve this matter.

Good, but would like to see update

Overall, i think it's a good app and helps me keep my goals. i would like to see an update that works with the apple watch or just a general update/refresh. right now i get two completely different results when i workout on my max trainer m5 and my apple watch. Also maybe the awards screen be cleaned up a little.

Response from developer

Hello - It's great to hear the app is helping you keep your goals! I have passed your request to our app development team so they can address these features in the future. - Joanne, Bowflex Team

Lacking basic functions

I have been using the Bowflex M5 Max Trainer with this app for two years. It’s terrible! You can’t delete workouts or reassign them to the correct users. If someone else gets on the trainer and doesn’t remember to switch the user it syncs their workout to your profile. You can’t correct it. I’ve reached out to support a few times and you’ll be lucky if you even get a reply.

I make software for a living and can say with certainty that they don’t care about the app. It’s just a gimmick for marketing verbiage. You can’t sync it to Apple health any longer. Just says disabled and there is no method to address the issue, support doesn’t reply, you can’t edit workouts or adjust which user they are correlated with, etc. etc. etc.

Broken

After a month of use my M6 suddenly stopped working. The console screen says update required. I did not realize you needed to connect to the app to update. I also didn’t realize you can’t reset the console because it is stuck on update. Since I can’t get to the welcome screen to connect to my phone I am stuck with a machine that does not work. USELESS

Weird timeline

I just completed an hour long workout today on April 14th 2020 but it says in my journal that today is December 12th 2019. Haven’t used the app in awhile so I just updated it but it’s weird it’s doing this right after an update.

Your not alone

The app was saving all my workouts after the machine was completed and lights were off on the display. But currently app is not going beyond the imaged the machine. Frustrating! But still using it! 3 years and going strong due to the wide range of programs hit 150 calories today on lvl 12,did the 21 min routine other numbers are sadly forgotten due to software glitch!

Very BASIC

Very basic app with very little motivating. Basically it’s more of a tracker to what you did and when. I wouldn’t mind a paid app if it offered more challenges and awards but for free your getting basically that a free BASIC app

Can’t sync, inaccurate data reports

Worked for 3 years and all of a sudden it won’t sync, but says it has. Says I have burned 5,000 calories in a workout (clearly not true). So frustrating.

Worx Great!!!

It does exactly what I want it to do. It kerp track if all my workouts, the amount if calories, the length if workout, the per minute calorie burn rate, and you can sets goals, and so much more! It is nothing fancy but it does what is was made to do!! Bluetooth connects super fast and syncs your daily workout, again just like it was nade to do!!
