Charming, beautiful, and calming
As others have said, it is reminiscent of Machinarium, one of my favorite games. The art is beautiful, the characters are charming, the puzzles are just right, and the story is compelling.
This is a calming, non-violent, low stress game that encourages you to notice the world and the characters rather than rush from puzzle to puzzle. It’d be a great family game to play with young kids.
The music is also spot on. I liked helping the other characters and defeating the bullies, and the surprise part of the ending is delightful.

Not intuitive, not logical
Spent most of the time looking up cheats which is not fun for me

In the perfect footsteps of Machinarium and others, Boxville doesn’t put a foot wrong. It delivers character, art and puzzles wonderfully and I’m super happy I’ve bought this and the sequel.

Could use more finesse to the controls
I liked the feeling of the illustration and enjoyed the game play.
I didn’t find it overly well suited to the phone size screen. The item menu at the top constantly conflicted with the notification menu. Control of movement of the can and the items in games was at times frustrating.

Very good puzzle game!!
This game give the vibe of the amanita design games because of its art style and similar puzzle mechanisms. I also like how the characters are soda cans!

Wirklich niedlich
Tolles Adventure Game! Ja die Rätsel sind jetzt nicht wie bei „The Room“. Es gibt auch keine Hilfefunktion mit Tipps oder Überspringen wirklich kniffliger Rätsel! Aber wenn man mal feststeckt, hilft ein Walkthrough Video auf youtube.
Es ist ohne Sprache. Die Interaktion mit den Personen geschieht über eine kurze Bildergeschichte. Dann weiß, man wie man der Person helfen muss, damit die Story weitergeht.
Habe mir auch schon den 2. Teil geholt. Da sind die Rätsel sogar noch kniffliger.
Endlich mal ein gutes Spiel, das nicht Wucherpreise möchte. Mir hat es Spaß gemacht.

Cute and fun
Enjoyable little puzzle game. I loved the art and animation. Could figure it out without needing to look stuff up which was nice. Perfect balance of easy and challenging. Such a creative concept!
Rare gem
It’s not often I come across such a rare and rewarding gem. The beautiful and unique art pulled me in where the enduring story line along with the inviting design, creative layout and challenging puzzles captivated me fully. I was enthralled! Can’t wait to try other experiences by this amazing artistically talented team. Loved it!

Nicht für iPad gemacht
Sorry, aber es ist einfach fies, wenn man Symbole im Menü falsch deutet und das Spiel fängt ganz von vorn an und man kann nicht mehr zurück. Stunden an Spielzeit einfach so verloren. Leider ist hier vieles falsch: Manche Szenen nutzen nur ca. 50% des Bildschirms. Bedienelemente sind teils winzig, wie die Tasten am Fahrstuhl, die sind nur 3x5 mm groß. Gut für den, der einen Apple Pencil hat. Alle anderen fummeln sich einen weg. Man kann Rätsel nicht überspringen. Schade, es war ansonsten ganz witzig

Lovely game
Now these are the sort of thought provoking interesting games that just beat the hell out of Candy Crush and all those other mind numbing 'pastimes'. The developers have designed a very achievable challenge and like other games, such as Machinarium and Unit 404, you get a nice sense of fulfillment when you finish. I didn't need any help with this game, though some challenges required a little time and experimentation to solve. However, this is a game to play slow and steady, not complete in the shortest possible time. Absolutely loved it. On to Boxville 2.
