The app needs urgent attention!! Charging doesn’t start, I had to call the customer care and they remotely started charging!! The app doesn’t show me a stop option, again call the customer care and they remotely stopped charging!!

Register, re register

The instructions in the station say scan this QR code and download the app. First off it gives you the wrong app. Then once I got into said wrong app then there’s the bp pulse app so download this. But first register in the bp me app, then re register in the Bp pulse app. Same details but oh no can’t communicate that. Then register a payment method just don’t select PayPal cause Tis requires you to login and verify and re verify and then it won’t accept it anyway. Do then you go with credit card…. Rinse and repeat registration and verification. So now I’m 15 minutes into my stop and still not charging. So now I’m registered and verified step two select your station but hey let’s not put in a way to scam the QR code from earlier no just zoom in on a map and get the closest one. More make sure you’ve selected the correct charger correct connection and paid for it before you even take the charger out of the damn socket otherwise get ready to do it all again. Not put it in the car charger and wait for it to think about it a hot minute before actually chargers.
Yeah it was a terrible experience.

More super fast charges needed

I’m at Murulan. Only one Tesla and one non-Tesla charger at 75 kw.
I had just recharged in Sydney at 350 kw in 11 minutes. Please install more super fast chargers especially on the highways.

Not very good

App constantly signs you out for “security” if you don’t use it frequently enough.

App barely has any models of car listed and is terrible out of date.

I still have a pending $40 charge to my credit card days after I charged even though they’ve already debited the total amount of the charge which was a quarter of that. It also did not mention this hold at any point which is questionable.

There’s an error registering you’re account

Why does it need a new account anyway, don’t you have bp me app already? A brand new app that doesn’t work. What’s the point

Only works in Australia

Despite BP and BP Pulse being a world wide brand, be warned that this app only works In Australia. Of you travel overseas there is no way to pay other than using the app, and the app doesn’t work. This is a great way to get stranded thanks to terrible app design choices.

Most difficult chargers to operate

Trying to charge with these is so difficult there are no QR codes on the machines. When trying to insert your card nothing happens and if you try to tap and pay it doesn’t recognise your card at all so you have to download the app and then go through the multiple of button pressing on the screen. You think this mature technology would be easy to use by now but obviously not.

Need to automate tax invoice

The charging experience is fine, along with off peak charging rates, though need to automatically send a tax invoice rather than email a request each time.

Avoid if less than $50

My wife and kids tried to use this app to put $10 charge in the car to get home. The app refused to accept the card because the balance was too low, it wanted to reserve $50. My wife and kids were stranded in a highway at night with not enough charge to get to another charge point. Contacted their emergency number and the message was basically “too bad, so sad, next time have more money in the account” utterly disgusted by this response!

These BP apps are revolting

This app and the bpme are shockers, why am I always having to login. If someone takes my phone I have bigger problems than someone using my bp pulse app to charge a car. Also why do I need multiple accounts to use bp rewards, bp pulse, etc. I can’t change the phone number on my bp rewards because it is registered on bp pulse. Time to go through your technology division with a big broom

Not Take Payment

App did not work using Apple Pay

Can’t view the app without creating a log in

I don’t know if I want an account yet, I’d like to look at the app and locations, but I can’t without creating an account.
Clearly there used to be a guest option, but it vanishes as the app loads.

Will not let me login

A terrible app that will not let me login. Support is useless

Needs tap and pay

Account was difficult to create and appeared to forget account. Needs tap and pay reader on charger as an option. Chargers were rated at 150kw, same as my car which was preconditioned and below 29 SoC. Could not achieve more that 75kw. Only one other car there and rectifier rated for 300 kw. Tried a different stall and got less than 70kw.

laborious login... again

other charging apps allow me to set up and plug in, this one requires me to type in my email address... again, with no autofill option, difficult to find the face ID or QR code features, tiny obscure icons. Far from intuitive.

Logs you out too often

The app works fine except it logs you out all the time. Given the app sits behind apple’s phone security it makes no sense to log it out all the time. None of the other EV apps
do this and it is really annoying.

The UX is horrible

The user experience is frustrating. Even the slightest movement on the map triggers a full refresh, making the app nearly unusable. Honestly, doesn’t this bother your own developers?

You don’t have thousands of charging stations—there are only one or two in the Melbourne South East area—so there’s no need for such heavy map reloading.

Also, the UI elements look very basic, like default Bootstrap components. I’m surprised this is the design standard for an established company. The app really needs a UX and UI overhaul.

Can’t register yet

Tick box to sign up for marketing consent is half blocked behind the register button, so can’t opt out before registering.

Global Company. Region Locked App.

Good luck trying to use BP Pulse anywhere outside Australia. Stupidly short sighted corporation.
