Thank you for the review and great question! We thought about letting you pick all 8 third-place teams, but since you're filling out your bracket before the tournament starts, we don't yet know which 8 of the 12 third-place finishers will actually advance. That doesn't get decided until the group stage wraps up. So instead of locking you into specific teams that might not even make it, we decided on our Wildcard system. That way those spots stay flexible until the results are in. You still earn points when wildcards advance, just at half value since you're not committing to a specific team. Hope that clears it up! We'll be reevaluating this system with future tournaments based on feedback just like yours!
