It has a mistake in one of the bracket
Response from developer
Yes, you are correct, this was unfortunate. To create the knockouts I used the official FIFA tournament rulebook, but a few months after it was released, FIFA announced a brand new rule that I didn't see. This new rule applied only to France, Spain, England, and Argentina and only if they all won their groups. Because they all won their groups, the entire formula for the bracket path was then re-arranged by FIFA to prevent these teams from meeting early in the knockouts. This is the first time they have ever done so. If any of those teams had not won their group, it would have followed the original formula in the rulebook. The accuracy issue started at the semi-finals and therefore the finals. I implemented an update to the scoring to make up for the issue, but by the time I learned of it, it was too late for users to alter their final predictions. Thanks for playing and for the feedback though!
