It is a visible cost. WHY IT EXISTS Most screen time tools are easy to ignore. Brainrot Tax makes the trade harder to pretend away: if you want the scroll, you have to sit through a cost first. The business model is intentionally honest. The app earns when you relapse. If you use your phone less, it earns less. If you stop needing it, it earns nothing. That is the point. Your taxed apps, groups, unlock windows, and ledger stay local on your device. Crash reporting helps diagnose failures. Anonymous product analytics are optional and require consent. IMPORTANT Brainrot Tax uses Apple Screen Time frameworks. You remain in control and can change or revoke permissions in iOS settings.
