About

BraveStep helps parents and caregivers turn communication practice into smaller, lower-pressure steps. When a child becomes tense, quiet, or unable to respond in school, social, or everyday settings, adults often wonder whether to hold steady, make the next step easier, or gently move forward. BraveStep starts from a real moment the child can already tolerate, then breaks practice into small steps: first joining and staying near, then gradually moving toward gestures, picture cards, whispers, words, or sentences. With BraveStep, you can: Complete an initial assessment to understand the child's current response level Record a real starting context: person, place, activity, and response mode Practice one low-pressure step at a time Track anxiety before practice and the result afterward Generate a recommended next step after the current step becomes stable Review weekly patterns to decide whether to hold, step back, or move forward Share a simple practice card with teachers, family members, or other supporters BraveStep is for families who are helping a child build communication confidence gradually. It focuses on small, tolerable attempts rather than pushing a child into difficult situations all at once. Important: BraveStep is a practice and tracking tool. It does not replace evaluation or guidance from a pediatrician, mental health professional, speech-language pathologist, or school support team. If school, social life, or daily functioning is clearly affected, or fear and withdrawal keep increasing, please contact a qualified professional. Privacy: In the first version, practice data is stored locally on the device. No account is required, and records are not uploaded automatically. Reports and practice cards are shared only when you choose to share them.
