Good for small companies
Can’t work in landscape mode on my iPad with my keyboard. Current GC doesn’t have location check-in. Have to have QR code. Biggest complaint is the lack of landscape mode functionality on iPad
Brilliant, but SLOW
Brilliant app overall. It saves a lot of time on admin and makes it easy to reach everyone on site. From a site management point of view, that’s a big win.
But it’s seriously laggy at times. It can be painfully slow, even when my mobile signal is strong or I’m on WiFi. I’m using a latest-gen iPhone, so there are no issues on my side. The slowdown is clearly within the app itself.
Also, the pop-ups when closing permits are frustrating and unnecessary. They just slow the process down even more.
Great concept and very useful tool, but the performance and UX need improving.

Inconsistent
Everyday I spend up to half an hour attempting to sign into site with this app. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

This was a good app, now it’s annoying. To the app developer, open 5-6 permits and try to close them, as you are trying to press on the close button, there will be a few pop ups letting you know that the permit was closed, preventing you to press that button. What’s the point of the pop up? I know i’ve closed the permit. Very annoying these pop-ups. Also, i get a Bad request error when opening the RAMS upload page on the desktop. This used to be a good app…..

Never seems to work
Does this app ever work? I’ve tried using app to register arrival at, I would be lucky if it works half the time.

We had to switch back to paper.
I’ve come across these guys on multiple jobs and each time it’s a nightmare. Always problems, crashes, doesn’t sign in correct, doesn’t update information correctly.

Does not work as it should
The auto check-in worked before the last update. It does not anymore. We’ve had to revert to the QR code option. With 70 men on site under our supervision, it’s become a mess. Go elsewhere.
Bics
After killing the app it requires reentry of mobile and pass word. Is that correct?

Clever App but needs more work
This app has the right idea and it’s very easy to use. However I don’t like any app that “Always” requires Location Services on. Plus when I’m at a sporting ground, I’ve found that I am repeatedly told I’ve left and re-enterred a venue when I am sitting in the same spot.

Thanks for your feedback. In order to perform automatic checkins and checkouts, the app needs to know your location at all times (even when you're not actively using the app). However, if you're not using this feature, you can always disable GPS tracking (in Settings page). Also getting an accurate GPS location on mobile phone at all times will drain your battery and the app tries to create a balance between accuracy and battery consumption. The best solution for this problem is to ask your host at the sporting ground to increase the radius of the geofence. If you have any issues, please contact us at support@1breadcrumb.com.
