About
Breakpoints is for people who want to stay on top of tech without the endless scroll. It turns the feeds you follow into a deck of cards and shows you one story at a time.
Why we built it
We kept catching ourselves an hour deep in Instagram while the tech newsletters and blogs we had chosen to follow sat unread. Breakpoints is the reader we wanted instead: the stories you actually signed up for, in a form that respects your evening.
How it works
Every article is a card. Tap it to read, or swipe. Swipe left to step over a story you do not need. Swipe right to set a breakpoint: the story is saved and waits for you in one quiet list, without a badge. When you have seen everything, the deck is empty and the app says so. Nothing loads to keep you there.
Your sources, no algorithm
Pick the sources you trust from our list, such as Hacker News, The Pragmatic Engineer and Ars Technica. The deck shows what they publish, as they publish it. No ranking, no ads.
Start in a minute
Pick a few sources and read. You need no account to start. Create one when you want your breakpoints and sources on every device, and sign in with your email, Apple, Google or GitHub.
What Breakpoints is not
It is not a social feed, and it does not want your whole evening. It is the ten minutes with the stories that matter to you, and then a clear stop.
