About
Pulmonary rehab (PR) has been proven to improve QOL in patients with chronic lung conditions such as COPD, pulmonary fibrosis & pulmonary hypertension. It also decreases hospitalization & health care utilisation.
Traditional PR is center based & has a poor capture rate less than 10%, barriers being cost, transportation etc
Home based PR is a viable & cost effective alternative.
Brehab is a digital home based PR.
Components :It takes the form of an app for the patient which may be self guided or supervised by an exercise therapist & a web based portal/admin panel .
App includes endurance training /aerobic exercise (with proprietary algorithm for exercise prescription generation & progression), resistance training & personalized interactive education modules . This recreates the center based experience.
There is a report section that provides snapshot of progress .
Admin panel provides overview for therapist or other designated provider to supervise many patients
