A new look breve has been redesigned from the ground up. Warmer colors, calmer type, and a clearer sense of where you are on every screen. Learn the app by using it First run is now an interactive tutorial on the real feed: you tap a real word, open a real study card, and swipe a real clip. The welcome screens show the product rather than describing it — a live caption you can tap, and a word climbing from new, to learning, to known. Swipe anywhere You can now swipe over the video itself to move between clips, not just on the caption. Tap the video to close a word panel. Pick up where you left off "Continue watching" reopens the clip you left, instead of starting the feed over. A quick review as you swipe When you move to the next clip, breve asks about the words you saw but never tapped — mark them known, or skip them, in one go. Adjustable in Settings. My words A new page listing every word you've marked, searchable and filterable, each with the meaning you learned it by. Re-mark anything from there. See where you stand Home shows a proficiency bar for each language you study, based on the words you know. Per-language settings Auto-pause and playback speed are remembered separately for each language, and auto-pause now starts switched on for a language you add. A better feed Clips where you already know every word no longer appear, name-heavy clips are filtered out, and the timing that decides when a word comes round again has been fixed. Chinese Noticeably more accurate word meanings, and pinyin that matches the meaning shown with it. A new Breakdown explanation replaces Grammar, and any word can be opened in Pleco. Fixes Word taps animate smoothly. Captions no longer shift when a word changes state. Every page scrolls properly on smaller screens. On iOS, captions no longer flicker when you swipe while paused. And AI Explain no longer opens by telling you what a phrase isn't.
