It does the job!
I was really impressed with all those preintegrated parameters in it (wide variety of hops, malt and yeast), but let’s face it, it’s kind of basic... I mean there are lots to be learnt about beer chemistry, water profiles, ions, tastes and all...
So let’s put it this way:
If you’d like to begin your journey of brewing, this app is a must, because the app ignores all the ‘science’ and really makes it simple.
PS: I actually brew a wonderful IPA with it, and this is the reason why I give it a 4 stars!

Deletes History, doesn’t save info
I like this app and the usability of it. But I’ve now had the app revert back to older versions of my recipes twice in the past 2 weeks so I’ve lost vital information about recent brews. Very disappointed.
Limited selection or ingredients
Needs to have updated ingredient list or way to add custom ingredient, especially hops and specialty grains. Also would be nice to be able to change hop additions to select primary, secondary, packaging.. something other then just Boil. Otherwise I like the simple layout and ease of function of the app. Could be a great tool to build and follow recipes, just needs a little more work

Limited beer styles and hop selections
Can’t find the style I am making or the hops I am using. And also the type yeast is not listed

Hello Mags107, Please contact me on brew@protector.com.br so I can check which style and yeast you are trying to add on your recipe. Best, Renan
Not what I need
I was expecting this app to allow me to pick a recipe from a database, then adjust to suit my needs. Instead it expects you to choose a style, then build a recipe up from scratch. Not very useful for me.
Over priced style list
There is nothing in the app but a list of styles and places to input your own recipes

Hello @Disapionted#38, I'm so sorry that Brewer app didn't meet your expectations. Customer satisfaction is very important to me. I would love to know your feedbacks on how I can improve the app and to provide a full refund for the app. Please contact me on brew@protector.com.br Best, Renan
Nice looking app with problems
The app is a lot nicer to use than other apps, such as BeerSmith, but I’ve had issues is designing a recipe.
Firstly, there doesn’t seem to be any way to add hops as dry hops. Timing can be set to seconds, minutes or hours, but not days for dry hopping.
Secondly, and this again relates to hops, the only metric weight unit available is kg, and the app seems to have issues with remembering measurements smaller than 1. So adding 0.025 kg (for 25 grams) will appear as a measure, but when you go to edit it, the text field is set to 0.00. No one but commercial breweries will be adding kilograms of hops, so hops should be able to be added in grams. I imagine this is an oversight from someone who doesn’t use the metric system.
As it is, this app isn’t usable if you want to dry hop, or use the metric system.
