Sorry for the confusion. The app isn’t designed to identify a single LEGO piece. It works by scanning a group of pieces and suggesting possible sets you can build with what you have. Thanks for your feedback. The app currently recognizes around 500 of the most common LEGO pieces, so some parts may not be detected. Also, following the scanning guide in the app (lighting, background, angle, ) really helps improve results. We’re continuously improving detection
This is useless

Thanks for your feedback. I get why this feels frustrating. With around 75 pieces, the app can detect your parts, but it’s often not enough to reliably generate complete build ideas. In most cases, you’ll need closer to 100 pieces, especially a mix of more “generic” parts for the app to suggest good sets. Right now, it’s not that the app is blocking you, it’s just that there aren’t enough compatible combinations to propose something meaningful.

Full building instructions are part of the Pro version, which helps support the ongoing development of the app and the LEGO recognition technology. Hello, thank you for your feedback. The detection works best when the pieces are placed in a single layer. They do not need to be perfectly separated, but heavy overlap between pieces can reduce the recognition accuracy. A major update will be released very soon and will significantly improve LEGO part recognition. We are upgrading from the current model, which recognizes around 200 common parts, to a new model covering about 500 parts, which will provide more reliable results, even when pieces are close to each other.
