What's New in Brickly

1.5.4

September 20, 2026

A deep revision of all three courses, focused on making sure nothing you study is false. • We checked all 1,752 legal citations in the Nevada course one by one against the official NRS text. Four pointed at the wrong section and were corrected, including the definition of real property and the priority rule between deeds recorded on the same day. • We audited the contractor course against the Florida Statutes, OSHA and the IRS publications. We corrected a scaffolding rule the standard does not state anywhere, a question that had two correct answers, and seven rules that were taught without their exception — among them the look-back period for the workers' compensation penalty, the 104-week cap on temporary disability, and the $5,000 county surtax limit. • We removed the duplicates from all three courses. There were 153 groups asking the same fact in different words; the 106 surplus questions were replaced with new ones, each citing a verified source. You now study more distinct material in the same number of questions. • We re-checked the arithmetic in all 2,102 calculation questions. They all add up. • We updated the Form 1099-NEC reporting threshold from $600 to $2,000, which changed by law for payments made from 2026. • We withdrew 688 accounting questions whose only source was a 2001 textbook we have not yet been able to verify. We would rather ship a shorter course we can stand behind than a longer one we cannot. They will return once we can check them. • We rebuilt the accounting unit from public, verifiable sources: IRS publications, the Internal Revenue Code and the Florida Statutes. • In the Florida real estate course we checked all 1,602 legal citations and the 53 FREC rules the course relies on. We added a ceiling that was missing and is expensive to learn late: the documentary stamp tax on a promissory note cannot exceed $2,450, however large the loan gets. • We also added the 14-day rule for filling the vacancy when a brokerage's only active broker leaves, together with what happens if it is not filled: the brokerage registration is cancelled automatically. No correct answer changed by mistake: the ones we touched were the ones that were wrong.
