The bad review is by someone who did not even spend 5 minutes to learn the program. It is very easy to find the bricklink information on what eber you scan that is Lego. It just takes a couple of minutes to learn how to navigate it.
I use rhsi app all the time to identify minifigs and printed parts.

Should be amazing, but sadly isn’t
I really want to like this app, because if it worked the way it claims to, it would be exactly what I need.
Unfortunately, it does not. While the scan feature works well, it does not display the part number of the scanned item, both in the immediate result as well as in a list of items. Worse, when utilizing the feature to email myself a list, the app tells me it was sent, when in fact it was not; hours later, the list has not arrived, not to my spam box, and not to my inbox. And I’d done it twice.
Ultimately, it is a tremendous disappointment.
