Pond raid

Doesn’t quite live up to the classic activision game. Control is a bit choppy, and in landscape they’d be better placed towards the edge of the screen. Can’t shoot fuel for a bonus. Clouds are annoying and not well placed. Original game had ten levels before upping the anti . I’ve played river raid for days and days.

The financial side of the game kills any enjoyment before it starts, but as there’s issues there it’s a straight up delete. Thanks

Hidden gem!

This game is a retro gamer’s dream! It’s a cool little tribute to River Raid, but plays a whole lot smoother, and manages to have a style of it’s own. There are a lot of really nice touches w/ the game design and camera work, and the pixel art is rad, and actually makes sense for a game like this (getting sick of pixel art being used out of laziness, and not with artistic integrity). This game doesn’t do that. The controls are super smooth and worth mentioning, too!

Totally worth a play if you’re a retro fan like me! I think other reviewers might have come in looking for an action packed bullethell, so were harsher on it than they should’ve been. Personally, it’s my favorite find lately, gonna stick with it a while. Awesome job, devs!

Hi KittenMoney, it has been almost 2 years since your review, but.. :) Thank you so much for your kind words. We are true "retro geeks" ;) Do you know that we have created BS firstly on Amiga? (yep.. :D). All the pixel art is drawn pixel-by-pixel. We spent a lot of time designing the maps. We know where we could improve the gameplay and maybe, some day. we will do it. We are very happy you enjoyed it! :)

Nothing special

Great aesthetic but the gameplay itself is incredibly slow and boring. You can only shoot one bullet at a time instead spraying it constantly like you would in a classic arcade shooter and the enemies don’t do anything. Plus filling up the fuel every 10 seconds feels redundant.

Boring basic gameplay

Very simplistic gameplay. Boring . Ok for young kids

Hi Trojmor, thanks for your comment. I am pretty sure game doesn't deserve for only 1 star. Bridge Strike is not a classic shooter. The core gameplay is based on the River Raid, the game we used to play when we were kids. I hope you will fix your rating. And maybe, when you play a little longer, you will enjoy the game.
