After less than a day, the app errors-out trying to save a fifth “device preset”, and no combination of power-cycling the system, phone, or app change it; everything seemed fine with the previous four. All presets are gone, and none can be saved. We can only used the app presets, which cannot be scheduled; so turning the lights on and off is all manual, while at home on the same network, like regular lights. And no place to give feedback or seek assistance.

Simple and easy
The app is based on WLED but if you buy the Bright Home Lights hardware, this is literally plug and play. Their website has a wealth of information on how to both install the hardware and also manage the software. On top of the standard WLED features, the app offers additional customizations that makes it a bit unique because WLED is a bit complex at first. I love it and I’ve had such an easy time with the app.
Caveats to all of this: this is a utility app, it’s not designed to have a pretty form factor. It’s designed to do what it does and it does a great job at that!
