About

Your Apple Watch already records how much time you spend in daylight. Brightened is a calm, single-purpose place to see it. No accounts. No cloud. No subscription. Nothing leaves your device. A GRADIENT THAT ANSWERS BEFORE YOU READ Brightened shows your rolling seven-day average as a full-bleed gradient that brightens as daylight accumulates. Slate through dusk, dawn, amber, radiant. You can tell how the week has gone from across the room, before you read a single number. THE DAY'S ARC A quiet band shows when your daylight actually fell across the day. Morning on the left, evening on the right. It describes your day. It does not grade it. FOUR WEEKS OF HISTORY Every day as a bar, every week as a card, all scaled against one another so a strong week looks like a strong week. No streaks. No badges. No pressure to perform. A GOAL THAT IS YOURS Set a daily goal that fits the life you actually have, and change it whenever it stops fitting. Brightened uses your goal to shade the gradient and nothing else. It never tells you how much daylight you need, because that is not something an app should decide for you. WIDGETS Small and medium home screen widgets carry your weekly average, today's minutes, and the same gradient. They read from your device only. WHAT YOU NEED Time in Daylight is recorded by Apple Watch. Brightened reads that one measurement from Apple Health and nothing else. Without a paired Apple Watch there is no daylight data to show. A one-time purchase. No subscription, ever. Brightened is made by KSQ Studios, a one-person studio in Pennsylvania.
