šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗ the Brisbane app šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗ

I think it can change Brisbane by keeping it the same or changing it because of the app where you can like Brisbane. and the Queensland government can then change our community. you can give it stars in Love hearts in the same way, but they’re the same thing.

App keeps on crashing

Every time you click on any tile, the app crashes.

Terrible

This app is so flawed - a waste of public money. So many out of date listings. So many pieces of council comms, but nothing of actual use. Delete. Delete. Delete.

INFANTILE APP !

Starting from the basic and very boring logo, (I used to design in college 23 years ago)… c’mon guys we’re in XXI century, jazz it up asap!

Like anything government, specially websites; it’s not very user friendly, over complicated and some features don’t really work ā€˜cause of these.

You must hire a design consultant, then a developer (not a government big brick-head, wannabe developer, trying to be a part-time designer)šŸ˜‰

Think of your target audience, not impress the boss, ā€˜cause he’ll never use it!

Not user-friendly

I SO wanted this app to be easy to use because Brisbane has so much going on, but alas, it just doesn’t do it for me. I want to search activities by day only (Wednesdays) and can’t seem to filter that, or at least I couldn’t find out how to do it. Being a busy mum I need something simple and easy to use, unfortunately this ain’t that… yet!

Zomato Doesn’t work

Zomato is no longer available in Australia. So that link won’t work.

App logo… sexy it up please

Yet to use the app… but sounds like a fantastic app!! BUT… come on guys… surely marketing can come up with something more sexier / enticing than a boring blue font on a white background … this is an app about amazing restaurants, bars, social haunts right? Make me feel like I’ll miss out. And make me want to recommend the app… yeah? We all judge a book by its cover (even those that say they don’t…) and even more so those days. Make the B hot pink or purple? Currently looks like an app for a boring library event or somewhere random to catch a bus…

Won’t open on iPhone

Doesn’t open on iPhone, just perpetually loads. Until you eventually get the error message - ā€˜an error occurred while loading data necessary for the app to launch’. I can see someone else has previously posted this feedback, so it clearly isn’t being addressed.
Unusable.

Park photos

To who it may concern. I really like the Brisbane app but would love to see pictures of the parks. It would be good if people can upload photos of the parks when they visit then so we can see what they look like. Because being able to see what it looks like before people go would be good.

Great idea but not ideal for Apple

Love the idea but it never works on my iPhone, but works fine on my google phone.

It lags so much and doesn’t load on an iPhone. Works perfectly fine on google phone. I don’t get it. It’s frustrating

Can’t even open the app

Says to download the app for deals and it won’t even open just says ā€œan error occurred while loading data necessary for the app to launchā€ just tried for 8 mins to open multiple times

App Errors

Cannot submit an error report. Times out with an error. There’s a restaurant located at Manly but shown on the map in Brisbane City. Oops!!

Tweaks needed but still worthwhile!

Please add the ability to view events on a map!

The ability to filter events by what’s close-by would be fabulous if users could set their own parameters (what I think is ā€œcloseā€ is obviously very different haha).

Events are the best part of this app as other information is mostly info you can get from Google Maps. I would encourage council to cultivate this aspect of the app to drive up engagement.

Otherwise I can see myself using this app a lot. I look forward to future versions!

$4.1 million for this app

Adrian Schrinner is such a joke

Needs more

As a local I would use this app if I could select a date and see what events are happening that day. The events section only appears to have a ā€˜see all events’ option where you scroll through events and most appear to be Council wellness events. It would be great if you could choose a date and category eg live music, art exhibits etc. I would regularly check the app if it had this feature.

Waste of public money

The app is designed okay and the content is arranged in a visually appealing way but it seems to be utterly pointless when you can get literally all of the information on the app more easily from Google?

Why has Brisbane City Council wasted so much money making this app and over $2 million on advertising it? Who are all the stooges giving it 5 stars?

Completely wasteful and pointless.

Disappointed

Search function by date simply doesn’t work. I know the date of an event but cannot find it in this app. Waste of time.

Can’t edit guide

I want to create my own guide of places I visit which are dog friendly. I submitted it with the minimum 2 places required assuming I could update it as I go but I can’t! As a brisbane local this feels like a huge oversight. I would love to be able to add more places after I already submit a guide as I am constantly coming across new places
