Shameful!

Can only read 7 articles per week unless you pay. Wouldn’t mind paying for qualty content but most of it is so poorly written or rehashed old stories, that it is not worth it. APP DELETED

Was okay. Now gatekeeping news

This was a reasonably useful portal for Bristol news. But increasingly the premium label is put on live report reports, effectively forcing you to pay, and making the free version pretty much pointless. It’s a shame, it was nice but now won’t be bothering.

App not updating

This App is so annoying as it does not update, have to uninstall it and reinstall it every day. Help!!!

Needs fixing

I’m very frustrated with this app. It should be worthy of a 5 star rating but lately I’ve noticed that when I tap on an article & start reading, I get half way through & it disappears. The app logo appears & I have to open the app & find the article & start again. Then the same thing happens again! I’ve got better things to do than get frustrated trying to read something that mysteriously disappears in front of my eyes knowing that I’ll only be wasting even more time trying to repeat the process. Please fix this annoying problem & I’ll be only too happy to adjust my rating & submit a more positive review.

Please use the in app Feedback section, under the My Account tab, to send us detailed feedback of what you were doing at the time of the crash. If you are able provide a screen recording also, that will help us to diagnose the issue much better. The Reach PLC Apps Team

No update on top stories.for over a week.

Normally quite good, but the last week no updates on their top stories, no response when you contact them to inform them. In this 24/7 world this should have been rectified quicker.

What’s happened ?

What’s happened to Bristol live ?
It used to be informative and up to date. I’m afraid it no longer is.
My local news is trivial and regularly two days old.

Tracking gone crazy

The amount of cookies this app uses is ridiculous. It’s got to be in the thousands. There’s also no easy way to decline them all -look in the vendor list. It literally took me half an hour to go down the list to turn them all off. Unacceptable.

The information on numerous subjects are okay, but, sometimes l’ve clicked on a link to read stuff, up pops something entirely different from what l expected!? Bit annoying really to say the least.

Yes,comments sections can be awful, but if you did leave a comment you could see in the app if anyone had replied. Now you get an email notification (not especially wanted) with what usually is someone’s terrible reply, which then takes you to the website not the app. It’s hard to refind stories in the app. So that was a good feature and it’s a shame it’s been changed.

We're working closely with them to bring this feature back, so please bear with us in the meantime. In regards to the emails with replies, you can unsubscribe to those on your own email provider, is normally at the top or at the bottom of the email. Great app...but

I love this app and the news is up to date. The comment section is full of trolls who have nothing good to say about the writers of the articles which is a sad indication of the world today
