Limited viewing

I pay for the monthly subscription but there are some shows that only let you watch the first few episodes and then you have to pay the $150/yr to finish watching. Disappointing!

Stingy

I started a subscription to Britbox and couldn’t even enjoy a full series unless I upgraded, how do you expect me or anyone stay?

Went south

Was a great simple app for years now it has ads and a premium subscription ! Hate when they ruin a good thing . Now I’m getting commercials for BritBox while watching stuff on BritBox ? Ridiculous

Don’t bother

There is such limited content, Britbox is truly a joke. A tiny fraction of BBC content is on the app, and now there is even less available due to the introduction of a “premium” tier. App navigation is also quite clunky. Don’t waste your money!

HLG HDR not stored on Apple TV

The app is ok, but the best streaming device for this app on my LG OLED has been my Fire TV Cube. If possible hardware-wise, please update it so I can use on my Apple TV instead.

AirPods play\pause no longer working only with this app.

Yesterday, the play/pause function completely stopped working, but only with this app. It’s not working on both the iPad and iPhone with AirPods Pro 2 & 3 and only with this app.

Can not watch a thing it stops starts stops lags for ages ive reinstalled it and same thing happens. def not worth signing up for so frustrating. ERROR CODE UNKNOWN 😡

After contacting britbox ive decided to Cancel my subscription not paying for a service that never works.

Was good now it’s overpriced and greedy

When I first started using this app, it was like seven bucks now it’s 11$ I watched two shows only I like classic Doctor Who and red dwarf. Now all of a sudden certain Doctor Who episodes say that I have have subscriber access??? $11 a month isn’t enough ??? That’s absurd This is unbelievable. I had a five star from the beginning rating now I’m gonna unsubscribe.

Good content, basic app

Good content. Minimal app functionality. Needs a setting to turn off autoplay of next episode.

Disappointing

The app is a disappointment with clunky navigation. It appears to be temperamental on all devices, often freezing or crashing. One of the most annoying features is what happens at the end of a show. Instead of the navigation automatically going to the next episode, it will often pick some random past episode. Why?

The latest issue is the app popping up a notice to enter your Apple password. Oh yeah right, like anyone would give you that. Get stuffed! I can’t decide if the app has been hacked due to poor security or someone over at Britbox is trying to scam customers.

Note to users: when you see the pop-up demanding your Apple password, DO NOT enter it. Press cancel and the app will continue to function in its normal yet poorly designed way. This appears to apply to all versions: iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS.

Broken since last update

Recently it started inexplicably asking for your Apple ID every time you open it (I’m not subscribed through Apple, I have a yearly plan through Britbox directly). You can cancel out and nothing happens, which makes their tech support rep’s claim it’s Apple’s fault absurd- Apple doesn’t need this information for the app to function. One out of hundreds on my devices does this.

Signing in?

Why do I have to sign in every single time with a password???? Even a 5 minute bathroom break??? This is ridiculous!!!

After opening app there is a sign into Apple account dialogue box. It happens on the latest IPhone and IPad app.

Love, love, love BritBox

I watch this streaming service more than any of the others! It’s my go-to. Keep up the excellent programming! One small thing - since the latest update, every time I open the app it asks me for my Apple password (??). None of my other apps do this, and it just started with the last app update.

Great shows awful app

Fix it or lose customers. Never had so much stress with an app. My Bluetooth headphones don’t allow me to pause or play show. I have to physically touch the screen for these commands - iPad. This is an isolated issue only with britbox. All other apps my headphones are fully functional. If I clicked play or pause headphones would play iTunes even when it wasn’t open and while Britbox was still playing. Again not an issue on other streaming apps. I deleted iTunes to avoid the issue when I click pause/play out of habit. I tried the troubleshooting suggestions with no luck only anger that I am wasting time and energy attempting a work around for something I pay service for. Fix your app don’t tell me how to stand on my head to try to fix your app problem. I tried logging in to the web to watch. Play and pause worked but picture wasn’t as good and I inadvertently deleted a few shows in my watchlist. This was due to trying to click on show in watchlist it wouldn’t play but had an x in the box that somehow removed show instead of playing when u clicked in box. Thought I was smart getting more content directly from Britbox instead of the Amazon add on. Instead I’m furious. Have delayed calling customer service to avoid being angry with more attempts to fix what I shouldn’t have to fix. Such great intellectual content. Get your app and streaming to catch up with it.

Good content, terrible app

The app is glitchy and often has problems. Usually logging out or deleting and reinstalling can fix it, but not always. Contacting help/support is disappointing. They cannot do anything and any they will get back to you I. 49 hours, while billing for service. Ugh.

Constant Crashing, constant harassment

If I chose one particular plan maybe it’s what I could afford. I don’t need to be reminded over and over to UPGRADE. It’s not helping that the damned app crashes right after and sometimes during an episode. I am dissatisfied.

More Money

Now you have to pay for premium if you want to binge watch. Canceling my subscription.

Why

I already pay 132.00$ a year. Why are you asking for a 149.00$ at once??? Huh.! 🫪
