I wish I used this sooner, the app doesn’t let me connect to my lights
Confused
I have downloaded this app and followed the instructions however I still can’t not set color patterns for some lights.
Not all advertised functions on app
What appears on the App Store does not look like what comes up in the app. There are no Scenes (ie Christmas, in the app). There is no ability to pick a personal choice color in any of the motion. The app needs major work.
Awful User Experience
Lights won’t connect to WiFi, I’m on 2.4, I’ve entered pairing mode, and get a rotating error of “failed to connect to router” (despite being right next to it, and Wrong Password, despite confirming network password 3 times. I’d highly recommend using a different company’s lights.
Has been a nightmare
Two different Brizlabs apps that don’t function well. Can’t get brizlabs life to find the 66’ string lights ans the brizlabs basic app looks nothing like the app shown. Missing many features and the music sync won’t work with my music
Bummed
I bought one in 2024 and it worked ok most of the year, you had to be close, but ok. Then that device stopped working (lights work) and I got a new one. It only connects on the other BrizLabs app which has worse options.

Frustrating -app rarely works correctly
Have for outside colored Christmas lights. Every couple days the color changes and the on/off timer is not correct. It takes a while of clicking every option in the app just to turn the lights off. Not really working at all.
Lights will not connect
got these lights as a Christmas gift tried putting them up and followed all instructions, including setting the Wi-Fi to 2.4 even then the set up thing would go through its whole process and then tell me can’t add device and given no further details other than make sure your Wi-Fi is working
Won’t send verification code
Step 1 is a failure. Unable to create account because they won’t send the verification code. Very afraid of how much time I will be wasting trying to use these lights.
Works but..
I literally cant find out how to do 90% of the pictures, and i hoped that the app worked with music apps on the phone instead of a microphone on the outlet, but it works and it is cute and all but, wish i could figure out how to fade instead of blink.
Use at your own risk
This app asks for a lot of permissions and wont work unless you give it acess to your home network. WiFi password, location, identity, access to other devices on your network? Feels like a trojan horse and a recipe for disaster. I just want to select the color of the lights on my tree, not have every connected device in my house get hacked. I'll pass. You can just push the little button on the plug until you cycle to a color combination or pattern of your liking. A pain in the butt, but better than giving some rando Chinese company the keys to your digital life maybe?

Bad App
Locks certain things to certain parts of the app and just falls apart at times as of its failing to send commands
Can’t choose the exact colors of the patterns
It comes with patterns and preset lights, but it won’t let you chose the colors you want. My mom wanted warm whites and red, but the only option are cold white and red, not so useful app.
App needs work
The app works to turn them on, turn them off and set presets. However if you want todo your own colors, you can’t save them. So you have to set it and leave the app. If you go back to any other menu, it will default your lights back to that color. PLEASE ADD A WAY TO SAVE PRESETS!

This app is junk! I can’t pair the lights no matter what I try. Deleting app and returning lights. Don’t waste your time or money!
App Needs Work
The app works, but certain things don’t function like I think they should. A couple of things:
- connecting to the lights can be tricky. You MUST switch your phone’s WiFi connection to 2.4 ghz, even if your router offers 2.4ghz and 5ghz, your phone must be connected to only 2.4.
- the dimmer doesn’t work until you let go of the slider. Other light apps show the dimmer setting real time as it’s being adjusted.
- dimmer only works on certain colors and color combinations. For example, the dimmer bar disappears when I have bi-color orange and purple selected, but shows up again when I have other color combinations selected. Bi color orange and purple goes right back to 100% intensity.
- Unable to choose custom bi- and tri-color schema. The app only allows you to select pre-set bi- and tri-color schemes.
These aren’t deal breakers, necessarily, but I hope the developers read this because the product is almost there. Just need a few tweaks and it could be 4 or 5 stars.
