About
Broadcut puts a professional video editor and a live production desk in the same native app, sharing one project. Cut in the Edit Room, then walk into the Live Desk and broadcast — no juggling two tools, no subscription.
THE EDIT ROOM
A real NLE built on frame-exact, rational timeline math:
- Multitrack video and audio editing with insert and overwrite modes, linked A/V selection, blade, ripple delete and ripple trim
- True roll edits between adjacent clips with media-handle validation and accessible ±1/±10-frame controls
- Frame-exact Cross Dissolve transitions where playback and export share the same compositor, so what you preview is what you deliver
- A clip inspector with renderer-backed opacity, scale, position and rotation, plus per-clip audio gain and mute
- Timeline markers with names, categories and six colours; captions on a dedicated track
- A professional viewer with safe-area guides, physical-pixel-aware zoom, panning and full-screen
- Undo and redo journaling on every edit, plus debounced autosave with honest saved/unsaved status
THE TRANSMIT QUEUE
Exports render in the background while you keep cutting. Queue multiple jobs, watch progress, cancel or retry — each job renders from an immutable snapshot of your project, so continued editing can never corrupt a delivery.
THE LIVE DESK
A scene-based broadcaster built on a native RTMP/RTMPS engine:
- Scenes with camera assignment, program tally and Take-to-program switching
- Live-safe camera changes that keep your broadcast running while inputs reconfigure
- A real capture-powered microphone meter with signal detection
- An actionable preflight checklist for camera, mic, ingest URL, stream key and local recording
- 720p30, 1080p30, 1080p60 and 4K30 presets with adaptive bitrate, plus local recording while you stream
- Your stream key is stored in the system Keychain, never in the project file
NATIVE AND PRIVATE
Broadcut is built for Apple silicon with SwiftUI and Metal. Projects and media stay on your device; the only network use is the stream you explicitly start, sent to the ingest server you configure. No account, no analytics, no tracking — and no subscription. Pay once, own it.
