It does work

While not going to blow you away with multiple options and customizations..I was able to connect the app to my Ras1 (playing on Xbox1) and was able to configure controller settings which some can be accessed directly on the device itself..with setting up, u must choose ur correct console with the controller option and not wheel to be able to play certain games like Need For Speed for example
