Brutal Time: Typographic Clock

Brutal Time is a typographic clock for people bored with clock apps. It tells time without decoration, distraction, or gimmicks. Brutal Time is shaped by brutalist design principles: visible structure, a restrained palette, and the removal of unnecessary ornament. Time is shown as type, grid, and rhythm — clear, functional, and deliberate. The app features four distinct movements, each available in multiple modes: - Typographic and Numeric - Light and Dark - Portrait and Landscape STANDBY Every movement is available as a StandBy widget. Turn the phone on its side on a charger and put a movement on either half of the screen, or fill both. Dark by default, and darker still once the room is. Add a Shortcut to allow Brutal Time to open automatically when connected to a charger, and the phone becomes a desk clock made of nothing but type. KINETIC MOTION Each movement can come alive.
