FAQ

What does this app do?

This app helps you understand your vehicle's status by decoding the Check Engine Light, checking for active vehicle recalls, and identifying Special Service Bulletins. It acts like a personal mechanic by providing diagnostic information directly to your device.

How does the app work?

The app requires a separate BT1 (Bluetooth) or GL1 (cabled) automotive scanner to be connected to your vehicle. Once the scanner is connected, you pair it with your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad through Bluetooth to access the diagnostic data.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the app itself is free to download and use. However, you will need to purchase a compatible BT1 or GL1 automotive scanner separately to utilize its diagnostic features.

What devices are compatible with this app?

The app is compatible with Apple devices, specifically the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Ensure your device has Bluetooth capabilities for pairing with the BT1 scanner.

What are the main benefits of using this app?

The main benefits include demystifying the Check Engine Light, proactively identifying potential safety issues through recall checks, and staying informed about manufacturer service updates. This helps you avoid unexpected repair costs and surprises.
