Terrible app - don’t allow streaming
I’m a paid up BTPM member and logged into my PBS account so my Passport status is recognized. There’s no ability to stream BTPM content despite the description saying you can. It’s just a glorified TV Guide.
On demand
Nice shows bur not available in Canada on Samsung tv so inconvient yo watch.
Hard to navigate
The shows I have watched are top quality but it is often difficult to resume an episode in a series. Lots of season jumping.
Would be good if the live stream actually worked
Try to watch Arthur but was not available. Had to wait 30 minutes so that the PBS app would install, but Arthur was not on anymore. Please fix the live stream.😐
Worst app ever for Canadians!!
Love PBS but not able to watch most of the programs. Love the 'idea' of the app but it doesn't allow me to view the programs I want. Needs to be organized to better identify types of programs to watch, e.g., drama, mystery, comedy, documentaries, etc. As it is set up now, it's difficult and time consuming to locate programs. Please stop advertising that PBS Passport is available to Canadians or at least mention that you're working on making it better. Also, it would be helpful if PBS removed the programs that cannot be viewed, e.g., there are two Professor Ts listed but only the second one listed can be viewed. Such a disappointment!

Another disappointed Canadian
Can not get all the programs available through Passport. I will not be renewing. So disappointed.
Not happy with app
Seems the app has not been updated. Also shows I really was interested in has 3 seasons and seasons 2 and 3 are a duplicate of Season 1. Great nothing like a repeat.
Still not great for Canadians
Sadly, I don’t find PBS Passport all that I hoped for. I can’t tell if it’s just because certain shows are not available here in Canada or if it’s the way the app is organized. I suspect it’s just the way the app is built that’s not very user-friendly. For example, there’s no way of knowing when the most recent episodes of something will actually be available on demand. If something played recently on WNEDTV it doesn’t mean you’ll be able to watch it on demand for a while. If I ever? Just frustrating… Happy to support PBS, but these days when I get virtually all of my viewing via different apps, it certainly seems to me that the PBS app is primitive.

Why no Chromecast?
A few years ago (at the start of COVID) WNED or PBS Tech Support told me that Chromecasting from an iPhone was in development for this app. I’ve just updated it and it still isn’t there. Every other streaming service we use casts with Chrome. I’m curious why WNED/PBS does not.
Unusable - can’t authenticate
I live in Canada and have location settings to precise location and always allow location tracking. Nevertheless, am unable to log in with username and password. I can authenticate in Safari but not this lousy app. It’s completely unusable. 0 starts if I rate 0.
needs some tweaking
needs some tweaking for sure
Worst app - deleted it
This is the worst App for Canadians. I love watching WNED -TV, but there is nothing available for us here on the App in Canada.
Terrible for Canadians
I can’t get shows to work on the this App. Trying to watch Arthur with my kids. Just won’t play.
I see a lot of negative reviews from Canadians. Why aren’t the developers correcting the problems?

Waste of time
I paid $60 willingly to support WNED. However, the PBS App is a complete waste of time for this Canadian. I am looking at a black screen that I cannot shift unless I delete the app and reinstall. I managed to get the app to work with my smart TV - fleetingly - when I back out of a program, the app seizes up. it also is impossible to tell which programs will run in Canada without loading each one. Really PBS, you need to do better, dump this app and start over. I am quite disgusted. Lowest rating from me.

Not intuitive and hard to use
As a new Passport user I find the app very very difficult to use. It’s hard to find programs and even harder to find out which ones it LETS me watch (I’m Canadian). It’s not intuitive and I’m never sure if I’m logged in or not.
Just Paid the $60
To get WNED PBS app to watch shows on demand. Waste of money. They write that it is good for Canada and the USA. Any show with the little star you are able to watch. This isn’t true. I can hardly watch anything. Definitely not worth it. I’d actually like my money back.
Frustrating
Yet another frustrated Canadian member of PBS. Been a member for over 20 yrs. It took an hour of messing around just to find out from a different source that it is not available in Canada on Apple TV apps. Really?
The least you could do is tell us up front. Finally got it on my iPad........black screen. Come on WNED , you can do better.

Cannot play video in Canada.
I though PBS Passport was being offered in Canada now?
PBS
Great app
Not good for Canadians
It’s disappointing to be unable to access all programming displayed on the app. Please rectify this for your Canadian supporters.
