BTS for GT User Reviews

No iPad version

It’s ridiculous that no one at Roland thought to enhance this app to have a layout that works for iPads, like the desktop versions rather than the scaled up phone version we’re stuck with at the moment.

Landscape orientation is a must

I have my iPad in a fixed position on stage running a bunch of music apps that work best in landscape - yours needs to work in that mode as well!

GREAT APP BUT NEEDS BIG UPDATE

I have the GTk Core, yes I had to buy the $50 Widi jack from a third party, which was super odd to not be built in , I digress. The app connects easily and is a simple and intuitive interface. There’s many ways to adjust each control or setting (swiping, typing in, tapping.) This is the best way to get the most out of BTS as connecting to a computer is a hassle. The giant issue with all BTS apps is that there is NO LANDSCAPE view so using on an iPad really lacks the benefits of the screen size.. BOSS either needs to make a specific iPad version or give this one an update to support Landscape to really sell out the stadium. Will update to 5⭐️ when landscape view is incorporated.

Good potential but

Having owned this for six years now, this is a finicky app. Most common issue is being able to connect to via Bluetooth in the first place Updates seem to break the connectivity and if you get a new phone, it’s a mess. This app could be so good.

Functional

Needs an iPad version with proper scaling but works well. Import export is very slow - wondering if there’s a problem with the Bluetooth interface? A cut and paste function will be great for the next update.

Landscape

Landscape UI please.

Bluetooth issues

Does not connect to my phone.

Landscape

We need the app to be displayed LANSCAPE, listen to the room please!

Landscape

Not going landscape is quite a disappointment.

Started off well, gone downhill

Hey Boss, it’s really sad that this app is rated poorly. It has so much potential. Right now, I can no longer connect any Apple devices via Bluetooth. I’ve submitted a ticket. I just don’t get the feeling Boss is committed to this app.

BossTone studio application doesn’t keep up with updates.

The boss tone studio application will not link up to my GT one effects pedal. I believe it’s because the boss tone studio application is out of date with the current Mac, Apple operating system. Boss company update your applications please. Thanks RM.

Doesn’t connect

Boss doesn’t keep updated along with Mac updates, therefore it’s not compatible

Absolutely terrible!

This app is a joke. Absolutely horrendous looking. It has a display resolution of about 30x40. The UI is harder to use than the controls on the GT1000 itself.

I’m definitely selling my gt1000.

Will not go in landscape

The app use to go in landscape ,but now it stays on portrait . I restarted my iPad 3x and it still stayed in portrait. Plz Fix

No iPad version?

I feel like I’ve stepped back a decade when iPad apps where zoomed version of iPhone apps... you want iPad to show wider real estate of the effects chain but instead a, working through a letterbox again!

I’m seriously marking this app down for that.

Plus I needed to buy an external Bluetooth connector to make the gt1000 core even work with the app at all...

Hopeless

Locks up as soon as it’s launched. Oh Roland/Boss what has happened to you?

They fixed the issue with iOS 14.x but...

It’s even slower than before on my iPad Pro. 1 to 2 min before the Write button becomes available when switching between patches. Almost unusable. Not an issue with the iPhone so something is wrong with Boss’s iPad code.

App crashes

Once I connect to Bluetooth the app crashes. It use to work fine.

Great app but I can’t use it with iOS 14.2?

Hi guys , when is the fix coming ?

It just won’t connect anymore

I’m current on all updates but at some point the bt connection broke and it will not pair. Phone finds the unit but the gt briefly says bt offline and connection drops.
