Great app, great support
I’ve been using Budgey since the beginning of 2025 - after much trial and error with various apps. It’s been the most straightforward app that I’ve tried while also meeting all my budget tracking needs.

A recent update unfortunately introduced a bug that mistakenly locked out our earliest supporters who purchased the one-time paid version of Budgey from accessing their categories and budgets. This was never our intention, and I completely understand how frustrating it must have been to suddenly feel like features you had already paid for were being taken away. We’ve released a fix so that original paid users will continue to have access to the budgeting features you purchased. If you’re still seeing issues, please try restarting the app. And if the problem continues, reach out to us at support@budgeyapp.com and we’ll make sure your account is restored immediately, with full access. We’re deeply grateful for your support as one of Budgey’s early adopters, and I’m truly sorry this bug caused you to feel otherwise. Thank you for giving Budgey a try, your trust means a lot to us.

Don’t waste your money! I bought this app for $9.99 for lifetime access to the basic budgeting features. Then, one month later, they change to a subscription model where they now want to charge me $10 more each month just to access the budget that I already made! I can’t access my own data now without paying more— a bait and switch tactic. Essentially they revoked the service I had already bought.

Hi there, I’m truly sorry this felt like a bait-and-switch. That was never our intent. A bug in our recent update mistakenly locked basic budgeting features for customers who previously purchased the one-time (lifetime) version. We’ve just released a fix. Please update to the latest version and fully restart the app, and your existing budget/data will be accessible again. To make this right, email support@budgeyapp.com and I’ll add complimentary Premium to your account for the trouble. Thank you for your patience and for supporting Budgey.
