Worst update ever

Made the app unsearchable with this last update, bring back the old filter menu not the slide across

Response from developer

Sorry for the post launch bugs. We’re getting through them quickly. Please download latest update 16.3.8, it helps a lot. 16.3.9 coming in a few days. Email me support@budwatcher.com if you want a test flight build so you can see/use the latest version. That’s an option as well.

iOS26 only

I pay for this app and you’re really going to lock me out by only supporting the latest version of iOS? Lazy and ridiculous

Response from developer

Sorry, that was a mistake we fixed today. Please check for the new update in the App Store; v16.3.8 will work for you.

Bring back web

Bring back web version. Forcing people into an app is a kind of a d!ck move

Response from developer

Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Being app-based allows our users to save their watchlists, favorites, and more without needing to give us any information like email, name, etc. It's perfectly anonymous, and that can't be accomplished on the web. A new version of iOS is about to launch. It’s free. I'd encourage you to try it.

Impossible to cancel

No way to cancel. Dark pattern.

Response from developer

Head to your iOS subscriptions center (settings menu of your phone) and cancel. Or use the free version. There were no intentional dark patterns here, just development from a small team that's adding features as fast as they can. The next version of the app will have the subscription center linked from the settings menu inside the app. Thanks for your feedback.

Over monetization

No need to charge a subscription. Just a nickel and dime

Response from developer

There’s a free version of the app that you might have overlooked. The subscription is optional and provides additional features that users seems to love. The app is entirely funded by subscriptions, this is intentional to ensure that BudWatcher remains focused on serving its users over anyone else. I hope this explanation clarifies things. Thanks for trying the app.

Great app, could use a couple more filters

Overall incredibly pleased with this app and at the value of the subscription. Would love to see the ability to set a minimum value filter for total terpenes/cannabinoids as a lot of smart dispo buying is finding the sweet spot between affordable and high potency.

Response from developer

Thanks for the great feedback. The next version is a major update and does let you set min and max for any lab result data point. Should be out and available for download in the next few days.

Could be better

Before you buy the premium version, you are told you can leave feedback for the next update but theres no option to do so. Second the thc percents are off. The percentage is different on the dispensarys site…. Other than that its pretty convinient imo worth the price

No good

This app charged me $10.65 and I didn’t even download it!!!!

App continuously going downhill…

The app was great at first but the devs keep updating the app to push everyone towards paying for it.
You can barely use any of the filters without paying for the service now, moving to a different app.

Response from developer

Hi Daniel, we appreciate your honesty. It’s tough to balance development and user expectations. I’d like to hear more about your experience and see how we can make it better. Reach out at support@budwatcher.com.

Charging the wrong people

Kinda goofy to charge people for features that Leafly, Weedmaps, and iHeartJane already have standard. Instead of charging consumers, you should consider charging retailers to have their products or their sales featured. Not only would that be more profitable but you’ll also get more users by giving away the app for free. Just a thought.

Hey there, I get where you’re coming from. We’re constantly working to balance providing a top-notch service with the realities of running an app. Your perspective is noted. If there’s more you’d like to share, I’d welcome the discussion. Contact us at support@budwatcher.com

Can’t see images now

Old detail view was better with image in the middle and can’t see what time new items were added anymore either

Finally

A quick way to locate the strains we love regardless of your local budshop. I can go get what I want without sorting through inventory of 5 dispos and shop on price as well as other searches. The free version is a tad clunky at times. If you leave the app for a moment you lose the info and must re-enter
