What happened to this app?
For a while, it was nowhere to be found in the App Store and I had to uninstall it since iCloud Backup was unable to get it for me. Please make sure this doesn’t happen again!
Good but needs work
I'm a big fan of the content produced by Buffalo Spree and have no problems there. Problems I do have are with the digital edition app itself.
The app needs an update for both iOS 7 and iPhone 5+ ASAP. Second, the app is slow to load content from page to page. Third, the app often forgets I'm an active subscriber causing me to email the developer to re-add my email to the list so I can download the latest issue. Fourth, the app doesn't remember where you left off reading so it starts you at the first page of the magazine more often than not. Fifth, for whatever reason the newest issue doesn't download in the background like it should even with background loading on in system preferences. Sixth, not clear how to archive issues (each magazine is a pretty big file and space is limited on my iPad).
Hoping the developer reads this and gets the hint or Spree reads this and finds a new developer. (See MacWorld as an example of a proper 21st century eMagazine. A modern eMag shouldn't just be a PDF in an app wrapper). I will update this review if the app is updated with any improvements.
