Say whaaaaaat

Just splendid

AI made it garbage

It used to identify bugs fairly accurately, at least enough to get you started on the right track for manual research. They swapped to an AI model and now it is completely useless.

Before updating the app: “moisture ant or possibly sugar ant.”
After updating the app: “that’s an ant” “it’s a spider”

Absolutely useless.

Good but utterly useless calling my paper wasp a ant

It’s my first day using this app called my dead honeybee a bee (because it is) called my dead paper wasp a ant and called my dead yellow jacket a wasp(because it it is)

Disappointing

Uploaded a picture of a caterpillar I had not seen before. The App correctly identified it as a caterpillar and then showed me an add.
It got one star because lower was not an option.

Bugs b gone

This app is always right on point with identifying whatever photo I share

Not accurate

Not accurate. I uploaded a photo of a funeral web and all it could tell me was that it was a spider. Didn’t tell me what type of spider other than an arachnid.

Wrong & annoying

I tried to identify a bug (I think it’s a type of moth), that I’d never seen before, and the first photo I used, the app said it was a stick insect. It is not. I used a different photo and and the app said it was a dried twig. It not. It can fly. Also, I realize I’m using the free version, but the advertising videos that you’re forced to watch before you get the results of your search are awful!

Fun app

Really good little app - haven’t had any issues with it crashing/freezing, and it’s free with less intrusive ads that you’d typically get on similar apps. Lots of info and scans your pics fast

Pushing adds

I downloaded it. After I took a picture and after it’s done scanning, an add asked me to download a new QR scanner. 2nd time, after it’s done scanning, another app asked me to download!

It has worked well!

I've tried identifying only 2 or 3 bugs so far, but this app has always identified every bug I presented with a picture. So, it has worked well!

Great app but too many ads!!!

Great app but too many ads and pop ups!

Generic ID

The app rarely gives a detailed ID. I have tried multiple pictures different angles lighting and backgrounds. The ID returned is non-specific butterfly caterpillar worm spider etc. not really what I was looking for, I knew that going in. On the plus side it does appear to be free unlike most others listed as free that are only free trial.

Bug

Fast/accurate

Terrible Ad Bait

Immediately after scanning it pops up an ad so fast you can’t read any of the information. No way to get rid of the ad, so this is a useless app.

Great bug app

Works pretty well. Takes a minute to wait for and get around ads but it’s free so can’t complain.

Quick identification results

I like just being able to take a photo of a bug & know instantly what it is. Having pets you get so many parasites especially in the summer. Nice to find out immediately if I to address them or if it’s just a common bug from the outside.

What happened?

This app used to be quite specific. Lately though it has been terrible. It will scan a butterfly and after 60+ seconds it will identify it as a “butterfly “.

Yfygggjghhjfjffgxdvscbnfcfhkdgbjdhvrstxrxezxexe aasaaaaaa I am done stinky

I am stinky and I love this place

How sad

This is nothing but one of those apps that relies on constant harassment with advertising. Waste of time.

How?????

I put a picture of me and my friend and it said it was a ladybug but the filter was a banana snail?
