We love this game

No sound!

Why is there no sound? Iโ€™ve tried deleting and reinstalling and it still doesnโ€™t work.

Response from developer

We're sorry the sound wasn't working, even after reinstalling. If you're still having trouble, please try the latest app update, check that your device isn't muted, and turn up the volume while the game is open. If that doesn't help, email support@fairladymedia.com with your device model and iOS or iPadOS version so we can help troubleshoot.

The kids love it!

This app is educational and fun! Works perfectly. Keeps them entertained for a long time? Great graphics and super cute.

Response from developer

Thank you for this lovely review! It's wonderful to hear the kids enjoyed learning with Grandma. We're glad you liked the artwork, too.

No sound for us either

Did Apple's iOS update knock out the sound for this app? Time for an update?

I would give this 5 stars if it had sound again.
Our two toddlers both loved it.

Response from developer

We're sorry the missing sound interrupted a game your children loved, and that we missed your review at the time. If you try the app again, please install the latest update and check your device's mute and volume settings. If sound is still missing, contact support@fairladymedia.com with your device model and iOS or iPadOS version.

Educational and fun

Really sweet game that my 4 year old regularly chooses and keeps her entertained. Recommend

Response from developer

Thank you for recommending the game! Hearing that your little one kept choosing to play with Grandma means a lot to us.

Granda loves bugs

My granddaughter loves this game. She is excited each time she reaches a level of mastery.

Response from developer

That excitement when something clicks is such a joy to see. Thank you for sharing your granddaughter's experience with us!

No sound

My 2year old loves this game, but she is disappointed because there is no sound anymore. Please fix

Response from developer

We're sorry the missing sound was disappointing, and that we didn't respond sooner. If you revisit the game, please try the latest update and check that your device isn't muted and the volume is turned up. If the problem continues, support@fairladymedia.com can help troubleshoot.

Great interactive game about bugs!!!

Nephew loves this games because of all the mini games, specially the spider web making part.

Response from developer

Thank you! We're glad your nephew enjoyed the mini-games, especially making spider webs.

Always loses sound

My son loves this game, however it has no sound. I have deleted it and reloaded it. The sound appeared then was lost again. I find this happens with all of the Grandma Grandpa games. Please fix this.

Response from developer

We're sorry the sound kept disappearing, especially across several of our games. We also apologize for missing your review when you needed help. If this is still happening, please email support@fairladymedia.com with your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, and which apps are affected. Knowing whether sound stops after a video or after leaving and returning to the app would also help us investigate.

Good app

This is a good game but it is only meant for 5 and under๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ˜›

Response from developer

Thanks for your review! Grandma's short learning activities are designed with younger children in mind. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the age fit.

Grandma Loves Bugs

My grandchildren do enjoy this app. However many people do not celebrate Halloween and so I wish the app had not been updated to reflect the holliday. Perhaps we could be given the opportunity to choose if we want this type of update in the future.

Response from developer

Thank you for explaining this. We understand that not every family celebrates Halloween and why you'd prefer to keep the original theme. We appreciate your request for a choice, and we're glad your grandchildren enjoyed playing with Grandma.

Terrific

Fun for pre schoolers. Narration is calming and gives the kids time to finish activities. Watch grandma clap and dance. A riot. Now if I can get this iPad out of her hands, we will have dinner. Highly recommend.

Response from developer

Your dinner-time story made us smile! Thank you for noticing Grandma's gentle pace and encouragement. We're happy her clapping and dancing brought some laughter, too.

Grandma and Grandpa Really Are Educational

We have several of the Grandma and Grandpa apps. This one is probably my favorite. Iโ€™m a developmental psychologist and appreciate that these apps really are educational (some other apps claim to be but arenโ€™t). My favorite feature is that as a parent I can go into the settings and turn OFF some of the games. I like this because I can turn something off that I know is still a little too advanced (read: frustrating) for my child and also I can go back in and add things later as my child grows so the app stays fresh.

Response from developer

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. Your perspective as both a parent and a developmental psychologist means a lot. We're especially glad the activity settings helped you match the games to your child's readiness and introduce others later.

Fantastic App

My daughter LOVES this game! It's quite educational, but most important: it's fun. Perfect for kids ages 3-4 (and probably beyond that as well). Highly recommended.

Response from developer

Thank you for recommending Grandma! We're so pleased your daughter enjoyed the games. Making learning fun is what we hoped for.

Great fun and learning!

My kindergarten students and my two grand kids (8 and 3) all love it!

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing the game with your kindergarten students and grandchildren! It's lovely to hear they all enjoyed it.

Great fun learning tool

My three year old loves playing this game, we have spent hours playing it this morning alone!

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing this! We're glad the game gave you and your little one something fun to explore together.

Fun App for Toddlers

I just downloaded the app for my son to try out. If he doesn't like an app he will close it right away. He played through the ten games two times which is pretty long for him. There is a parental setting where you can leave off games that you think are too easy for your child. I was thinking the game would be even better if the app had more variety of levels. I like how it rotates though the games which is good for a toddler's attention.

Amazing

My little girl Jade loves this game and it's awesome for her mind she likes to play it day to day and it has coloring, spelling with help and counting.

Response from developer

Thank you! We're delighted your little girl enjoyed coming back to play. We appreciate you sharing her experience with Grandma.

We love Grandma apps!

I have a wide range of kids play with apps on my devices, and Grandma Loves Bugs was another hit. I am always comfortable leaving them to play with any of the Grandma and Grandpa apps and then taking the lessons into their world. Makes a great launching ground for learning and exploring.

Response from developer

We love hearing that you carried the learning into real-world exploring. Thank you for sharing our games with the kids and for this thoughtful review.

Kinda okay

There are 10 games but the app rotates through all 10 instead of giving you a menu so you can choose which one you want to play. An adult can change which games are in the rotation so you can exclude games that are too easy, too hard or not interesting for your child. Each game is very, very short with no levels. If you do the rotation more than once you do get different bugs to look at, different words to spell, different numbers of fireflies to catch, etc. It would be much better if a child could choose one game and stick with it for several repeats.

Response from developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback. You explained the distinction clearly: choosing activities in the parent settings isn't the same as letting a child pick a favorite and replay it. We understand why you'd like that option and appreciate you describing it.
