About

Wave Scan measures the rooms on a restoration job and sends them straight into the estimate in Wave. It is built for water, fire and mold restoration crews, estimators and project managers who already run their jobs in Wave. Instead of a tape measure and a notepad, walk each room with your phone or iPad. Wave Scan picks up the walls, doors and windows, works out the floor area, wall area, perimeter and ceiling height, and fills in the line items that were waiting on room sizes. HOW IT WORKS • Sign in with your Wave account. The jobs waiting for a scan are already on your list, with the rooms from the estimate. • Pick a room and walk it slowly, pointing the camera at the walls. • Keep Wave Scan open as you move to the next room, and the rooms join into one floor plan. • Mark each room as affected or dry, add a room that wasn't on the list, or redo one that didn't come out right. • Tap Send to Wave. The measurements land in the job's estimate, ready to review in your browser. BUILT FOR THE FIELD • A floor plan that builds as you scan, so you can see what is covered before you leave the house. • Length, width and height for every room, plus floor and wall area in square feet. • Doors and windows detected automatically. • Scans are saved on the device if the signal drops, so you can send them once you are back online. Unsent scans stay on the device for 30 days. • Works across every company you belong to in Wave. Switch companies from the account menu. WHO IT IS FOR Restoration and remodeling contractors, mitigation technicians, estimators and project managers who write estimates in Wave and want accurate room sizes without re-typing them. Wave Scan is a companion to Wave. You need a Wave account to sign in and to see your jobs. Scanning a room requires an iPhone or iPad with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models).
